Wednesday
We're finally here. The jet took too long for my liking. Pugsley comes stumbling out of it onto Enid's yard. Father holds Mother's hand as she steps down elegantly. The Neighbors peek out their windows. Haven't they seen a jet land on a yard before?

"W-Wednesday."

Enid stares at me in shock. I take a quick look at her condition. Eyes red, tears down her face, wrapped in a grotesque pink blanket, and red marks around her neck.

I can feel my nails dig into my skin as I clench my fists. Within seconds I've barreled down the living room in a frenzy.

"What are you doing?" Enid asks, her voice trembling.

Is she scared? Of me? I turn around.

She immediately steps back.

"I'm sorry!"

"What?" I question.

"Please don't hurt me-"

"Why would I ever hurt you?"

"You're mad."

"Obviously! That creature deserves to die, Enid." I blurt.

She just stands there. I don't have time for this. Where is that excuse for a mother hiding?

"Wednesday dear- oh, Enid! Come here darling." My mother says, walking through the door and wrapping Enid in her arms. Father and Pugsley follow in after.

I ran to the nearest door, not giving any attention to my family or Enid's questions. No. Not it there. Disgusting home decor, but I can't stay to gag at it. Next door, no. I run across the hall. A final door stands across the kitchen.

I've waited so long for this. I grab the door handle with one hand and grip my concealed knife with the other. Three, two one.

I lunge into the room. Her mother sits on her bed, clipping her nails. She turns to me in horror. I relish the sight. In seconds I've cornered her and have my knife to her throat.

"I'm going to kill you, and I'm going to enjoy it." I say in pure hatred.

Just as I press the knife to her throat I'm pulled onto the floor.

"Stop!" Enid stands above me and grips the knife from my hands while I'm still in shock.

What is she doing? What reason could she possibly have to stop me?

I stumble to my feet and start back to my unfinished business, but Enid grabs me and pulls me back. Werewolf strength is the bane of my existence.

I look at her, yearning. I image her mother on the the floor, bleeding out. Enid will never have to deal with her, she'd be safe. Everything will be fixed. I don't understand.

"Why don't you want this?" I cock my head to the side and reach for her neck. She lets me, looking into my eyes as I run my fingers across the redness. I ask her the question again with my eyes.

My vision starts to get blurry from threatening tears. No, no, I blink it away. I'm fuming, and I start to grab for the knife. She drops it behind her and holds me in place.

"Not to disturb the moment or anything, but, the woman you tried to stab is very much ready to attack you, Wednesday." Piglets says.

Fuck, I've really let emotions get in the way of my senses. She'd be dead if Enid hadn't stopped me already. I can feel rage rush through my body.

Enid pulls us away from her Mother.

"It's ok. I'm sorry mother, this was a misunderstanding."

"Misunderstanding?" Enid's mother and I both exclaim.

"You said you wouldn't hurt her." Enid mumbled.

"I think it would be beneficial for all of us to talk about this situation." My mother, suggests, taking the knife from Enid.

"Your daughter almost killed me! We can't just talk about this!" Enid's mother yells, rushing at my mother.

Father hurries toward her, but Mother already has the woman in a headlock. Within seconds, she slumps to the floor.

Enid screams.

"Don't worry, she's only knocked out."

"My, that was impressive, Tish." Father says.

I have to agree.

"Alright, I'll take care of Enid's mother-"

"I can do that." I say, stepping forward.

"I meant washing her face up and setting her on the couch."

"I think-"

"We know you want to kill my mom, Wednesday, let's just sit down." Enid says, grabbing my arm.

"You can let go. I'm not going to run off."

She raises an eyebrow.

"Fine."

We all sit on the two couches by the TV.

Enid holds my hand, more like restrains it, tighter than necessary, and Father and Pugsley sit across from us.

After a few moments, father speaks.

"I'm sorry for greeting you like this, Enid, dear."

"Oh- it's understandable." Enid says, scratching her neck.

I find it nearly impossible to not run and kill her mother. Oh, how I desire to torture her, nice and slowly. To see the blood seep out of her body, to dismember her slowly...

"You're kind of growling Wednesday." Pugsley blurts.

"I was not."

"Kinda were." Enid interjects.

"You're on his side?"

"At the moment, yes."

"I was not."

"Well then, what's this sound?" Enid imitates me, putting a ludicrous amount of enthusiasm into her performance.

Pugsley laughs and My father chortles idiotically.

"I didn't sound like that!"

Mother walks into the room, holding Enid's mother. She sets her down on the couch and sits next to father. I follow Enid's mother the whole time, ready for any sudden movement.

"You can sit back in your seat, Wednesday, she won't be conscious for a while." Mother announces.

"You don't get it." I mumble.

"What did you say, my storm cloud?"

I look at Enid and pull her up.

"Can we talk? Alone?"

"Uh, yeah, I guess so."

"You're going to leave me with an unconscious body, Wednesday?" Pugsley whines.

"Yes. Feel free to fun experiments."

"Okay, cool!"

"Uhm, no, please don't!?" Enid exclaims.

"Veto on the experiments, Pugsley." I mutter.

"Awwww!"

"I know. Disappointing." I say, staring at Enid.

"Well, excuse me!"

I pull on her arm.

"Where's your room?"

She sighs and leads the way. Only when she opens the door does her hand finally break from mine. She walks inside.

"You're letting me free?" I say, smugly, crossing my arms.

"Shut up."

I shut the door behind us.
