Enid
Oh my god. She likes me. She actually likes me. And she's sitting on my lap, red in the face. Jesus Christ.
"...Really?" She asks, scratching her arm.
"Y-yeah, obviously! I mean..." I trail off, not knowing what I even mean to say.
She's breathing heavily, tears on her cheeks. I've never seen her cry. It's kind of nice, for her to be vulnerable, but I decide I don't like the tears. In one slow motion, I bring my hands up to her face and wipe them off. She looks at me, swallowing.
"There," I say when finished.
There's a silence.
"I should..." She looks down, as if thinking about something, and then starts scooting off of my lap.
"Wait-"
I grab her waist and pull her back without thinking. She lets out a startled breath of air and I see her start to breathe even heavier.
"Wens, I..."
"Are you sure... you're okay with t-this?" She mutters.
"Wait, a-are you...?" I ask, pulling my hands off of her waist. Shit, I don't want to push her into anything. Is that what I'm doing?
"Don't..." She mutters, pulling my hands back.
Oh my god. I can't think. She leans forward and rests her forehead on my chest, linking her hands behind my neck.
"Enid," she whispers.
"...Yes?"
She moves her head and places her forehead against mine. I stare at her, noticing her eyelids flutter closed, and I feel her breath against my lips. Oh my god. I'm going to pass out, I swear I am. Is this a dream?
Her thumb brushes against my neck and suddenly I'm leaning forward, lips parted. When we meet I feel a warmth spread across my whole body. It feels amazing. I let out a sound into her mouth and she pulls me closer, hands tighter against my neck. I squeeze her waist and pull her against me, and she responds with a sigh.
I'm floating. It's just our lips rhythmically moving together, pure bliss. In this moment I want nothing more than her. Nothing else but her. I feel. So. Good.
I'm reminded of all the wasted moments between us, the silences, the denial. All of it is swept away, and the only thing left is compensation for it. I need compensation.
My hands move up to the top of her blazer and I slowly pull it off, leaving time for an indication that she wants to keep it on. I find none. She only moves her hands to the small of my back, using it to pull herself closer to me, our chests pressing together. I groan at the feeling, moving my hands down to her thighs. She wraps her legs around me in response.
After a moment, she pulls her lips away, catching her breath. I do the same, I think my lungs were about to give out.
"This is kinda ga-"
She shuts me up by kissing me again, moving her hands through my hair, grasping onto it like it's her lifeline. I move my hands to her inner thighs and she lets out a loud, sweet noise. I smile into her lips before noticing that she's frozen.
"Wens?"
Wednesday doesn't reply, just pulls her face away, eyes wide. "Did I do that?" She asks in horror.
"Uh... yeah?"
"That was disgusting," she says, face turning beet red.
"...I thought it was cute," I admit, scratching the back of my neck.
"I think I'm going to go die now," She says flatly.
"Who am I supposed to kiss, then?"
"The wall."
"Why would I do that when I have a beautiful girl in my lap?"
"Because shut up."
"Make me."
"That's original."
"Ooh, not seductive enough? Okay, how about... don't go out in the sun... because sugar melts!"
"That was not your cue to start rehearsing pick-up lines."
"No? Hmmm..." I tap my chin, trying to think of something. "Did it hurt when you fell from heaven?"
She stares blankly at me.
"Yeah, not that one. Did they take you out of the oven? Because you're so hot!"
"Enid."
I smile brightly. The red has left her cheeks, which means she doesn't feel uncomfortable. Even if I have to embarrass myself, it's worth it.
"You don't need a car key to drive me crazy!"
"Enid."
"Oh! Oh! I got one. Do you believe in love at first sight, or do I need to walk by again?"
"Okay, that's enough." She mutters before pressing her lips to mine.
I smile into her lips again and we softly kiss, her hands in my hair and mine on her cheeks. I don't know how long it's been, but soon I see the light from the waning moon on her cheeks.
"We should get to sleep," I whisper.
She pulls away and crosses her arms.
"Are you trying to get rid of me?"
"Yes, clearly. You found out my master plan."
"You don't know what a master plan is."
"Forgot you were a murder snob for a while there."
"Forgot how annoying you are," she grins.
"It's my job. We have class tomorrow, you should sleep."
"If anyone should get to sleep, it's you. You're sick, remember?"
"I forgot about that."
"How could you forget, you were burning up and as shaky and scared as one of my many victims."
"Yeah well, you're hot. So it's not my fault."
"You can't resist me."
"Says the one who moaned into my mouth."
Before I can smile, she tackles me and covers my mouth.
"I. Did. Not."
"You did too." I say, using my strength to move her hand away.
"Did not," she says, glaring at me.
I lean up and kiss her on the forehead. "There's no denying the truth."
Her face turns red and she flicks me in the face. "Not another word."
"As you wish." I smile, kissing her on both cheeks.
"And stop that too. It's gross."
"You love it."
