Enid
I cannot believe that Wednesday has done all this for me. She went across the country, she's given me a bunch of support and so little threats it's honestly confusing.
"Why are you doing this?" I ask, looking up at her in awe.
"Oh, sorry."
She jerks her hands away from my face.
I laugh.
"That's not what I meant, stupid."
"What did you mean?"
"You're being so supportive and nice."
"I wouldn't call it nice."
"We'll then what would you call it?"
"You know I put time into things I care about, what's so different about this?"
"Because I'm a someone," I reply.
"No difference."
"Ok fine, glad you're obsessing over me rather than the murder board thing."
"I'm not- look, don't push your luck. It's time we head back," She forces out, barely looking at me.
"Gotcha," I wink.
"Stop doing that, it's gross."
"I thought you liked gross."
"Not that kind of gross. What do you call it, cringe?"
"Ouch."
"Not just coming from me. I've seen Yoko gag at things you say when you aren't looking."
"Hey!"
She grabs my arm, pulling me towards the car.
"I don't wanna go back home," I whine.
"Do you have another plan?"
"Well... no."
"Then we're going home."
I frown.
I guess it's fine. I just really don't want to be around my mother.
"We don't have to be around your horrendous birth giver."
"Oh, cool."
"I still don't get why I can't-"
"For the last time, you cannot kill my family members."
She huffs.
"You have done so much for me... is there something else you want to do that isn't murder?"
I swear her eyes light up. Well, as much as physically possible for her. Which obviously isn't much. I can tell, though.
"So many possibilities..."
Maybe I shouldn't have asked.
"Can we stay within legal boundaries, as well? Please."
"You have no concept of fun."
"Sure."
She opens my door.
