Pandora forest
Omatikaya clan
One week after the mission

After Tsu'tey had woken up, Li'teya sat at her brother's bedside every night after her father had gone to bed. She would tell him what was happening every day since he was on bed rest. He always smiled and nodded, letting his little sister talk enthusiastically, which was rare. Her father always made her stay quiet.

"So Lo'ak found me at our spot, and we talked for hours before falling asleep under the stars", she smiled.

A smirk made its way onto Tsu's face. "You like him? don't you?"

Teya immediately stood up "no, no, no, it's not like that."

"The way you speak about him and the things you do together says otherwise", he mused, sitting up to get a better view of his now highly panicked sister. Her ears stood up, and her fingers meddled with each other.

"He's my best friend, and he's just..." she took a second to find her words. "different?"

"Different? Is that a bad thing?"

"Oh god, not different as in a freak. I mean, he's different to every other na'vi, and he's kind and sweet and ...." She looked down at her brother's smirk.

"Oh shittttttt", she breathed, sliding back down to the floor.

"You were saying.." he said, flashing a smug grin.

"This doesn't mean anything; Teyam's my best friend too, and I don't like him. Why would anyone want to be with a disappointment like me?"

Tsu'tey opened his arms, allowing Teya to collapse into his embrace. She rested her head against his chest, closing her eyes.

"Anyone would be lucky to be with a disappointment like you", he smiled.

She scoffed, "hmm, yea, right. I see you, Tsu'tey".

"I see you, Li'teya".

*2 weeks later*

"Hurry up, Te", Spider shouted as they ran across the floating vines of the Pandora forest. Li'teya, Lo'ak, Kiri, Spider and Tuk ran through the old forest, exploring their old home before Jake made it forbidden to go down there. Li'teya crouched down with Tuk as she played with a plant. Her laughter brought a smile to Li'teya's face.

"Tuk, keep up", Lo'ak called out; Tuk grabbed Teya's hand as they ran through the trees.

"Bro, why'd you bring her anyways?" Spider asked, confused as to why they would bring her to such a dangerous place.

"She's such a crybaby, she's all - I'm telling. You're not supposed to go to the battlefield, and I'll tell mom if you don't let me come," Lo'ak wined, mocking Tuk's voice.

Tuk stuck her tongue out at her brother. "Don't pick on Tuk for wanting to be with her family?" Li'teya told him.

"You're going to take her side over mine", he pouted

'You're such an idiot", she said as Lo'ak grabbed her hand, pulling her further into the forest. Eventually, they found themselves on the old battlefield. Suits of armour hung from trees. Bullet rounds, metal and guns laid across the ground.

"Are there dead bodies up there?" Tuk asked, hiding behind Kiri as Lo'ak and Spider climbed the trees.

"no, of course not, Tukey; he's just messing with you, "Teya said, handing her off to Kiri.

The sound of rustling leaves caught Li'teya's attention. Her ears spiked up in anticipation. She looked at the rest of the group, and it seemed none of them had heard the noise, but she chose to go and investigate.
