Jake and Freddie sat in their tent for hours, debating what to do to keep their families safe.

"We can't stay here", Jake stressed.

"I understand that, but where are we going to go?" Freddie asked, pacing the tent.

"The reef people. I know their leader very well. He is a dear friend. I'm sure he will let us live among them".

"What about our children? We can't expect them to just leave their home," Freddie argued. He would do anything to keep his family safe after his wife's death.

"It's the only option we have; those demons have seen our kid's faces, they know them, and they have Spider, for god sake. That kid knows everything. Our entire operation. We have to move within the week".

"Fine, on the final night of the week, we move to the reef", Freddie agreed.

Little did the two leaders know that their kids had heard their entire conversation. They sat on the floor behind the tent, their eyes glossy with tears. "I don't want to leave", Tuk whispered sadly.

Li'teya stood up, making her way towards the loading dock "Li'teya!" Lo'ak called, but it was no use. She had already called Szay and left.

Lo'ak was about t call his Ikran when Neteyam stopped him. "Where do you think you're going, little bro?"

"After Te, she shouldn't be alone right now."

"You are grounded, remember, no flying for a month. Dad's rules."

"I don't give a shit about dads rules now. She needs me", Lo'ak breathed out. Neteyam put his hand on lo'ak's shoulder.

"I'll go after her. That way, neither of us gets in trouble. I'll make sure she's ok. Where did she go?" Neteyam asked.

Li'teya laid on her back, looking at the stars like she always did when she needed to get away. One night she and Lo'ak had named every star that they could see.

"That one there", she pointed. "Should be called lily flower. After yours truly," she beamed.

Lo'ak scoffed from beside. "Ok then, that one shall be called eagle one."

"Ugh, boring; who names their star after their squad name."

"Uh, you did", he argued

"My name is pretty. How about blu?" she asked

"Blu? really?" Lo'ak questioned, sitting up

"My nickanme and your nickanme. Those two stars can be our stars. If you ever feel sad or just miss me, look to the sky and find our stars. That way, we will always be with each other even if we're not there." she finished looking up at Lo'ak.

"Our stars", he repeated, lying back down and resting his head on her shoulder.

Tonight was no different; her eyes never left their stars.

"Li'teya," a quiet voice said, diverting her eyes to the na'vi in front of her.

"What are you doing here, Neteyam?" she asked, her voice filled with no emotion.

"I didn't want you to be alone", he murmured, his fingers messing with a bracelet Kiri made for him.

Li'teya sighed. "This is my fault". Teya saw that Neteyam was about to protest, but she stopped him. "I called them over to me. I led them straight into danger. I should have let them kill me. That way, your family would be safe".

"My family is safe, and so are you. That's what's important. We cannot change the past, so let's not dwell," he said, stepping closer to comfort the girl.

"If we are ever put in that position again, I will do anything to protect your family. You have my word," she promised, placing Neteyam's hand on her heart.

"I will do the same for you, you may not be family blood, but you are my sister". Neteyam whispered, grabbing her hand and putting it over his heart.

Neither of them realising the impact of the promise they'd made to each other.
