Li'teya dived into the water, narrowly missing the bullets aimed at the group. She swam over to Spider, checking him over for any injuries.

"Im ok", he reassured, holding onto her forearms.

"Get on", Tsireya gestured to her ilu, but a pained voice caught her attention.

"I am shot." the voice struggled to say

Teya whipped around, gasping when she saw him. He bobbed up and down, struggling to stay above the water line.

No, no, no, no, no.

Teya swam towards him as blood spilt out his chest, turning the water a deep red.

"Oh, shit", Spider exclaimed, grabbing the boy and helping Teya pull him onto the ilu.

"Go go go", Teya stressed as she held onto his body tightly, scared if she let go, she'd never see him again.

The group grabbed the slowly dying boy and pulled him onto the rocks. Li'teya sat by his head, holding pressure on the wound.

Please, great mother. Not my Lo'ak. ***

Neteyam placed his hands over Teya's, adding as much pressure as possible. Lo'ak's eyes darted around his friends until they landed on hers. The world seemed to slow as he stared into her bright blue eyes filled with tears. He lifted his hand, placing it on her cheek. "Teya", he breathed.

Teya leant into his touch "shh, it's ok, you are going to be ok", she whispered.

Jake and Freddie made their way onto the rock, kneeling next to Lo'ak. Jake lifted his back, looking at the bullet.

It was an exit wound.

Both fathers let out a quiet curse at the inevitable. Freddie looked over at his daughter. A vast wave of deja vu overcame him as he watched his daughter cry over her dying lover.

"Keep pressure on it", Jake instructed. Teya felt her lover's blood soak her fingers as his life slowly slipped away.

Teya kept her eyes on him as his breath became more ragged. "I see you", he whispered to her. Shaking her head Teya refused to let him leave her. "I'll always be with you, Te; just look to the sky and find our stars". Teya let out a sob at his words as his head turned towards Jake.

Neytiri's Ikran landed behind them as she ran towards her youngest son. "no, no, no," she mumbled to herself, placing her hands on his stomach.

"Dad, I'm sorry", Lo'ak cried.

"It's alright, it's all going to be alright, son, you're ok", he reassured, stroking his head.

His breathing slowed as he darted to Teya's for the final time. "Our stars", he whispered. Teya closed her eyes every memory they had flooding her head.

"How tall is he, Mr Sully?" 4-year old Li'teya asked

"He's that tall", Jake replied. Li'teya looked at her dad, begging if she could be measured next. She stood up against the pillar as Freddie carved her height into it.

"You are that tall," Freddie said, stepping back.

"Ha, I'm taller than Lo'ak" Teya jumped up and down excitedly. Lo'ak stood there with his arms crossed and pout placed on his face as Teya danced around him, singing, "I'm taller than Lo'ak, I'm taller than Lo'ak.
