Pandora Reef
Metkayina Clan
Their new hut was different and much more spacious than their war home. their house sat on the docks next to the water. There were no trees, flying mountains or green, and it was just blue.
Li'teya placed her belongings in the back corner of the hut, which wasn't a lot.
"Alright, Evans, fall in." her father demanded.
Li'teya and Tsu'tey looked at each other before kneeling in front of their father.
"ok, listen up; while we are here, I need you both to be on your best behaviour and stay out of trouble", the last part of the speech directed towards Li'teya. "I need you to learn fast and be useful to these people, or we will be kicked out. Do you two understand?"
Li'teya looked at the floor. "Yes sir", she and Tsu'tey responded.
"Daughter, I want you to keep a distance from Sully's boy."
"What?" Teya exclaimed. "You can not ask that."
"Yes, I can. He is a distraction and a troublemaker." Freddie argued.
Li'teya stood up, making her way to the entrance of the hut. She stopped herself turning round to face her father. "Just because he is different from the rest of us and you and Mr Sully see him as a disappointment doesn't mean he is. Lo'ak is so much more than that, and the fact that no one you can see is heartbreaking."
Her father looked at Teya, rage swirling in his eyes. "You are my daughter, and you will listen to my demands. Jake and I agree you are not to be together unless you are learning. You cause too much trouble," Freddie shouted as he stood up, towering over his daughter.
Teya shrunk under his gaze. "Then I guess I'm not your daughter anymore", she answered with no emotion.
"Li'teya", Tsu'tey whispered.
Li'teya looked up at her father. "He is my best friend, and you can not ask me to do this."
"Daughter, he is why you got hurt during the train mission, why those demons found you, why you got attacked by that Thanator. Wherever he goes, chaos follows."
Teya shook her head " No, you can not blame him for those." Teya looked at her brother's pleading eyes.
"He saved me, please, sir."
"It is decided; I will not change my mind."
Teya scoffed before she stormed out of her hut. She sprinted along the docks, hopping obstacles in her path. Teya turned to face her hut and saw Lo'ak storm out of his. When Lo'ak started to approach her, her eyes softened.
"I'm guessing you got the same speech as me?" she questioned, but judging from the look on his face, she already knew.
"Stay away from Evans's daughter. She causes too much trouble and will get us kicked out bla bla bla," Lo'ak said, mocking his father.
Li'teya took a breath rubbing her forehead with her hand. "It's such bullshit, and they can not ask this from us," she stressed.
"Teya, I know it is unfair, but I am already in too much with my father to disobey", Lo'ak responded softly, intertwining their hands.
"What?" she whispered in disbelief. "You will listen to him and stay away from me?"
"Teya.."
"No, I get it, we're just friends, family comes first, and we need to protect them, so we don't get kicked out" Li'teya detached their hands and called for her Ikran.
"Teya, can we talk about this" Lo'ak pleaded.
"I think we've said enough," she said as Szay flew away from the village.
Lo'ak stood in shock as he watched her Ikran disappear from view.

Li'teya landed her Ikran in a small cove a few klicks from the village. She slid off Szay, stroking him, their queues still bonded. "I can't believe he said that to me, Szay", Li'teya breathed.
Szay turned his head slightly. "He is just protecting you, Teya", Szay tried to argue.
"Protect me? I do not need protection from anyone."
Szay tilted his head sideways. "Really? he questioned with a sarcastic look.
"Shut up сука." Teya pushed him away from her as she collapsed onto the sand. "Maybe I'm crazy."
Szay laid down next to her, letting her rest her head on his stomach. "You are definitely crazy, Teya."
"I just thought that we were more than what our parents say."
"You are. They are under a lot of pressure," Szay tried to reason.
"Im crazy to think of anything beyond us being friends. My dad listed off all these reasons why Lo'ak is a disappointment, but the more I think about it. It was me. I followed Lo'ak to the train and didn't get help, I decided to go hunting alone, and I followed the noise to the demons," Teya ranted.
Szay nudged his head into her lap for comfort. "You can not think like that, Teya. You are a child. This world hasn't been fair to you".
"Maybe my dad was right; being with Lo'ak made everything worse", she whispered, tears falling down her cheeks.
Szay moved closer to Li'teya, letting her cry into his body.
The sound of a twig snapping caught Szay's attention. He opened his eyes, scanning the area to see a dark blue na'vi hiding behind a rock. His eyes softened at the sight of the boy.
A tear rolled down Lo'ak's cheek as he heard Li'teya's confession. What have I done?
