"You don't seem happy about this dinner." Julian said as he braided my hair.

"I am happy. I'm worried. My dad... he used to be very... small minded." I looked at him through the mirror. "He was raised catholic. Then he met my mom. And back then, I mean.. I guess it wasn't accepted. So he's always had an issue with gay people."

"You think he's going to offend Noah and Chase?"

"I think he will accidentally say something stupid and then Noah and Chase are gonna be mad at me because I came out of his nutsack."

He laughed and shook his head, "never say that again. And they know you and your father don't share the same thoughts. Plus, your dad said he changed right? Give him a chance."

"I'm just worried."

"Don't be. I'm not." He kissed my neck. "Finish getting ready. We have a reservation for 7."

Julian insisted on something fancy. So now I was expected to dress up.

"Julian" I headed downstairs with my heels in my hands.

"Yes, love?" He was in the kitchen with my parents.

"Can you fasten my shoes for me, please?" I looked at him.

"Of course." He smiled and we headed to the living room.

I sat on the couch and he slid my shoes on my feet, fastening them for me.
"Thank you" I smiled and whispered, "sir."

His eyes snapped up to mine, "you're very welcome, pet."

My parents had been in town for two days now. And going that long without being called 'pet' has been.. hard. I don't realize how much I love it until I can't have it.

"You look stunning. By the way." He said, pulling me off the couch and stealing a quick kiss.

"You clean up nice yourself." I straightened out the collar of his shirt and smiled.

"Let's get going." He said softly.

"You look stunning" Noah smiled. He was dressed in simple black slacks with a purple button up tucked into his waist.

"You clean up really nice." I hugged him.

"Chase made me get out of my sweats." He laughed.

"These are my parents; Sharon and Craig. Mom, dad, this is Chase and Noah." I introduced everyone.

"Lovely to meet you." My mom smiled and shook hands with both of them. My father smiled and followed her lead.

"Here, baby." Julian pulled out my chair for me.

"Such a gentleman." I smiled and sat down.

Everyone took their seats just as the waiter came over.

"Evening, everyone. My name is Tommy. I'll be taking care of you this evening. Let's start with some drinks. Can I interest you in our wine menu?" He asked, holding out a menu on his arm.
