Kendall's pov-

I rubbed the sleep from my eyes and sat up. I looked around at the white furniture and sighed.

Daddy's friend Julian must've brought me inside.

"Morning."

I jumped and looked behind me. He stood shirtless against the wall drinking from a mug.
"Morning" I said politely.

"So here's how this is going to work- because I'm about the nicest person i know, you can stay. But you need to earn it. Help clean up. And no little space. I don't care for children. Got it?"

"Yes"

"Sir. Yes sir. Have some manners. Call your boyfriend. I would like to speak to him and he isn't answering my calls."

I grabbed my bag and shuffled through it. Grabbing my phone.

It rang and rang and rang and rang. Voicemail.

"Must be busy." I said.

"Figures." He rolled his eyes. "Come, get up. I made breakfast."

I followed him to the kitchen and he pointed to the table. I sat and he placed a plate of eggs and toast in front of me.

"Thank you, sir."

"So Kendall, whats Haydens mother into now?" He asked.

"Da- Hayden doesn't talk about it with me. Last I knew she was back on the streets. But I'm not sure why she's in New York. Last he went to help her she was in Chicago." I said softly.

"Hmm. Why can't you be alone?" He asked.

I stared at my plate silently, "uh just don't like it."

"It's not gonna eat itself. And I'm not a fan of wasting food." He said glancing to my plate.

"Right sorry" I picked up my fork and made myself eat. Julian scared me. He was stern and strict. Nothing like Hayden. Eating was a struggle. Especially when I first wake up.

"You look like you don't like it."

I looked up at him, "no it's good."  And it was.

"When you finish you may take a shower if you want. Up the stairs and second door to your left, i put a towel and soap in there for you already."

He grabbed his plate and set it in the sink before leaving. I immediately took my plate to the garbage and dumped the rest of my food, placing a napkin over it so he wouldn't see. I set my plate with his and grabbed my bag before following his directions to the bathroom.

I washed up quickly and dressed in some sweats. I was combing through my hair when there was a banging on the door.

I opened it slowly.

"Follow me" I followed him downstairs and he opened the trash and removed the napkin. "I don't waste food"

My cheeks heated up and I just stared at it.

"Care to explain?"

"I wasn't hungry anymore"

"You barely ate." He closed the lid.

"I know"

He sighed and rubbed his head.
"Call Hayden again"

I went back to the living room and dialed his number again.

"Kendall I'm busy" he answered.

"Julian wants to speak with you. And I miss you."

"I just don't have time." And with that he hung up. Which hurt. He never hangs up without saying he loves me. And never angry.

"So?"

"Uh.. he's busy he said." I spoke softly. I was burdening Julian. I could tell just how much he didn't want me here as he rolled his eyes and looked angry. "Hayden should be back tomorrow night. I think I'm gonna go home."

I went upstairs and grabbed my bag and zipped it up. I dug through the pocket as I headed back down, looking for the cash hayden gave me.

"Here's some money for letting me stay the night. I'm sorry I bothered you. Hayden said it was okay when we were driving here. I know you don't want me here so I won't stay"

He looked at the money in my hand and laughed, "no. Keep it. I'll give you a ride."

"No that's-"

"Come on"

"Tell Hayden to call me when he gets back" Julian said.

"I will. Enjoy the rest of your weekend" I got out of his car and walked inside.

It was quiet. Which it never was. I hated being alone. I sat on the couch and held my stuffie close to me. Just another day. Then he comes back.
