Julians pov-

I watched as she stirred on the hotel bed, as though she was having a nightmare. I took a sip of my whiskey and kept my eyes glued to her.

"..no." She mumbled, gripping the bedsheets. "Don't go"

She gasped lightly and sat up, looking around.

"Relax" I said softly. "Bad dream?"

"N-no. I'm fine." She ran her hand through her hair. "Why are you up?"

"Can't sleep. Couch isn't comfortable."

"Here take the bed. I'll take the couch. I'm shorter than you so I'll fit better" she started to get up.

"Get your ass back in the bed."

"Julian" she sighed.

"It's not up for debate." I got up and sat next to her, fixing the bedspread back over her.

"Why do you care" she asked softly. "You don't like me"

I furrowed my eyebrows, "say who?"

"Hayden told me once. After we all hung out at the bdsm club. That you didn't want me around when you were hanging out with him because you don't like littles."

I didn't say it quite like that.

"Hayden left you in my care. I feel obligated to check up on you" I got up and sat on the couch.

"I'm just an obligation?"

"I'm tired" I said cutting the conversation short.

"I thought we were friends." She said so quiet I almost missed it, then rolled over and faced her back to me.

"We are" I said quietly.
***

"I'm ready to go home Julian." She huffed.

"We are already here. Let's explore some. I haven't been to San Diego in awhile."

"I wanna go home" she stomped her foot and laid back in the bed. I saw her shoulders rock.

"Are you crying?" She didn't answer. "Kendall-"

"Leave me alone." She sniffled.

"Jesus." I rolled my eyes. "Get up."

"Go away"

"Now."

"Fuck off"

I grabbed her arm and pulled her up as softly as I could and stood her on her feet. I let my eyes scan her face and sighed.

"What's going on with you" I asked. "Besides the obvious."

"I just wanna go home and be little. It's been over a week since I've been little. And I have all these feelings I don't wanna feel. And," she sighed. "I just wanna go home."

I felt for her. All of a sudden your dom of over a year disappears with no explanation. And her only way of dealing with things became a chore, and she now had to be alone in little space. I don't like littles.. but I like Kendall.

"Be little. I don't care. Let's explore. Just no tantrums." I caressed her cheek softly. "And no more crying"

"But you don't like littles."

I shrugged and gave her a smile.
"Come on"

She smiled back and followed me out of the hotel room.

"Let's go to the beach first" I said opening my car door for her.

"And Ice cream?"

"If you're good."

She ran around in the sand. This is the happiest I've seen Kendall. I had only hung out with her a few times before Hayden dropped her off at my house- but even then her smile wasn't this big.

I pulled out my phone and dialed his number.

"This is Hayden. Leave a message."

"You're a real piece of shit ya know that? You broke her heart and left as if she was nothing. No explanation. Nothing. You don't deserve her. Rot in hell Hayden."

"Ju ju! Come run" she yelled over to me. She's been calling me juju all morning/afternoon.

"I don't wanna run" I said pocketing my phone.

"Please" she frowned. I sighed and walked up to her. "Tag!" She tapped my arm and took off giggling. Well I mean... I'm it. So I have to run now.

I ran after her. My primal kink making this enjoyable for me too.

She squealed and dodged my grab.
"Too slow!"

"Oh yeah" I grabbed her waist and she yelled out. "Tag"

"Nope not fair. You cheated." She stuck her tongue out at me.

"How so?" I let her go.

"Dunno" she said before taking off again. I chased after her again, and we continued this for another ten minutes before she plopped down in the sand and planted heavily. "Tired"

"Already?" I sat next to her.

"I'm so fast"

"The fastest." I laughed. "Let's get some lunch"

We walked to a close by diner and got seated at a booth.

"I'm Kayla. I'll be taking care of you two today. What can I get you to drink?" She smiled.

"I'll just have water." I looked at Kendall and she shook her head. "She will have chocolate milk and a water."

"Got it."

"Hey. What do you want to eat?"

"Nothing. Not hungry" she shrugged.

"Well that's too bad. You're eating something." I looked through the menu. "Chicken strips?"

"No"

"Burger?"

"No"

"Kendall" I sighed.

"Chicken strips" she finally said.

"Good girl"

The day passed on quickly.
"We should head home" I said an hour before sunset.

"What about ice cream?" Kendall frowned, "was I not good?"

"No you were. I just forgot. We can stop for some on the way." He opened his car door for her, "hey. You were really good today."

"Thank you juju"

"Hop in. We have a long drive."
