Julians POV-
I woke up in an empty bed. I sat up confused and rubbed the sleep from my eyes.
I grabbed my phone and saw I had a couple unopened messages from Kendall.
I got up to go look for her.
I opened the guest room door and saw her sprawled out on the bed, her bright purple cast caught my eye.
"Hey baby" I kissed her cheek. She slowly opened her eyes, blinking a few times. "Why're you in here?"
"I didn't wanna wake you up" she mumbled.
"I wouldn't have minded"
"I stressed you out yesterday, I thought I'd give you some good sleep" she mumbled sleepily.
"I never get good sleep without you in bed with me."
"I'm sleepy, sir" she rubbed her eyes, "look. I got purple cause it's your favorite color"
I smiled and kissed her head.
"That's sweet. Does it hurt?""Not too bad." She grabbed my hand. "I have to leave that on for a few weeks though. The doctor said I fractured my ankle and part of my tibia"
"Ouch."
"How'd you sleep?"
"I never sleep well without you next to me." I kissed her softly.
"I slept so peacefully" she teased.
"Oh yeah?"
"Best sleep I've had in forever" she giggled.
"Guess you're moving back into this room then huh" I laughed.
"Yup totally"
"I'm sorry I've been so busy lately. And that I fell asleep and didn't text you back. I should've just gone with." I kissed her hand.
"It's okay." She smiled. "Now you just have to carry me everywhere."
"Oh yeah?" I laughed and picked her up bridal style. "I'll make you breakfast."
"Hey sir, when can I meet your mom?"
"Whenever you'd like. I can call her if you'd like."
"Will she like me?" Her face grew with concern.
"She will adore you. She's much nicer than my father" I set her down on the counter. "My father is an ass. Especially after I got 50% of the company. But my mother, she's... awesome."
I chuckled at my lack of better descriptive words, but that summed her up. My mom was my idol growing up- she still is.
"Where do they live?"
"Honestly not too far. They moved further away when I started running the company upfront but they live right outside San Diego."
"You took me to San Diego" she smiled, I'm assuming thinking on the memory.
"Cause you're a stubborn little butt and won't tell me why you're upset" I kissed her cheek. "I'll call my mom. I wanna see her anyhow."
"Your dad... he won't like, hate me right?"
"No. I've never been with a girl this long."
"It's only been... five months?" She questioned.
"Still. My longest relationship was 3 before you." I smiled. "And I never brought them around the office. Let alone, to meet my parents."
"This is a lot of pressure."
"Speaking of parents... you should really try to get in contact with yours."
"I've thought about it. Maybe. I don't know." She shrugged. "I'm hungry." She nudged me.
"What do you want, my queen?" I bowed.
"Pancakes. Chocolate chip. Extra chips."
"Do you want hash browns?" I started getting everything ready.
"Yes."
"Crispy?"
"If you eat your hash browns not crispy I feel like you're weird." She scrunched up her nose.
"A simple yes could've sufficed."
She gasped, "do you eat uncrispy hash browns"
"As a matter of fact I do"
"It's just soggy potato strings"
"They aren't soggy." I laughed.
"Do you eat your fries soggy too?"
"Better watch it, missy." I pointed the spatula at her.
She giggled and scrunched her nose at me.
"As much as I adore you, that's super weird.""As much as I adore you, Im going to spank you with this" I waved the spatula around. I wouldn't follow through of course. Her purple cast that swung back and forth from the counter wouldn't let me.
"Don't threaten me with a good time."
"You're getting harder and harder to punish. You seem to enjoy it too much." I laughed and made her plate. I set it at the table along with mine then picked her up.
"Not all of them"
**
"Sir quick!" She yelled from the living room. I was trying to catch up on laundry, but scared that she fell or hurt herself I booked it to the living room. "It's 11:11."
"Kendall" I groaned. "Okay?"
"Gotta make my wish come true." She smiled.
"And that would be done how"
"Kiss"
I bent down and pecked her lips. She shook her head and grabbed ahold of my shirt, wanting more.
I kissed her passionately, using the back of the couch to hold myself up. Her hands found their way to my hair.
"Better?" I pulled away. She was out of breath, but nodded her head in response. "Can I go do laundry now?"
"I suppose that'd be okay" she smiled. Before I walked away fully she yelled, "Wait!"
"yes, pet?"
"I need a snack"
"What do you want?"
"Gushers."
"I don't think we have any" I hummed and went to the kitchen to look. In fact, we did not have any, however we had fruit snacks. I grabbed her a pack and went back to give them to her, "We can go to the store tomorrow to get some gushers. These will have to do for now though."
"Aw man" she frowned.
"They are the same thing."
"No they aren't."
"Yes they are."
"Nope."
"Well, I am very sorry for your new emotional trauma, but we have fruit snacks and no gushers. These are the next best thing." I leaned down and kissed her softly before walking away to finish the laundry.
