<Tobias's POV>

Seeing as the temperature has dropped to an all time low, I throw on an extra coat as I walk outside into the white scenery. Snow falls lightly threw the harsh wind, making it difficult for me to find Tris in the cluster of children. She is trying desperately to keep track of them all in this harsh weather. I make it over to her and order the children inside. "Tris we need to talk, it's been three months since Will and Christins left to look in Candor, I thought they would be back by now and I was thinking last night about it," I start.

"And..." Tris says impatiently.

"I think we need to go and look for them, even though the weather is harsh, if they are in danger we need to know," I explain. Tris nods her head.

"I agree, let's go tell Zeke, Uriah, and Shauna," Tris suggests. We rush inside Amity headquarters and quickly find our friends sitting around a fireplace.

"Hey guys what's up?" Zeke asks casually from his place next to the fire.

"We have a plan."

"Alright well, spit it out," Shauna urges.

"We think we should go looking for Christina and Will, since we thought they'd be back by now and they aren't we think it's best to know if they're okay," Tris explains.

"So you suggest we leave in the midst of a storm?" Uriah asks while cocking an eyebrow.

"It'll be harsh but it's for our friends safety so we have to," I plead. Shauna stands up from her seat.

"I'm in, let's go." Zeke agrees soon after and with a little coaxing Uriah joins us as well. After the Amity have supplied us with plenty of food, water, and blankets we trudge out into the harsh winds and falling snow. Tris stays close to my side as we walk elusively away from Amity. I'm going to miss the peacefulness even though some of the people were getting on my nerve. That's when I realize something.

"Oh my god, we left the Amity with Peter," I yell. Everyone stops in their tracks.

"We can't go back now," Uriah says solemnly. He's right; we just have to hope that Peter doesn't harm the Amity. As we get closer and closer to the city I start to realize how crazy this mission is. I do not voice my opinions and doubts, but my mind is still full of them. Finally, we make it to the train track. We wait impatiently in a swelling silence until finally the train starts to become near.

"It's almost here!" I shout. Everyone turns their head to the left and we prepare to jump. When the train reaches us I am the first to jump, then Tris, Uriah, Zeke, and then Shauna. Our tired bodies fall to the ground of the train car in exhaustion. A small voice whispers from the corner of the train car.

"Shauna?" I whip my head in the direction of the voice and see a short little boy who is shivering with blue lips.

"Hector!" Shauna yells while quickly getting up from the ground and leaping to Hector. She squishes him in a tight embrace. She starts to ask a million questions and Tris silences her.

"Let's give him a blanket and Hector can you explain what happened and start from when Dauntless headquarters was first attacked?" Tris asks kindly. Hector nods his head and we hand him a blanket from Amity. We sit in a circle and Hector begins to explain what happened.

"When the bombs in Dauntless started to go off I was stuck in the apartment by some giant rocks. I was screaming over and over but no one could hear me, until Lynn and Marlene showed up and pushed the rocks out of the way." At the mention of Marlene's name a tear slips down Uriah's face. "We eventually made it out but on the way out Marlene, she was shot in the side. We-"

"Wait, why weren't they under the serum, they aren't divergent," I ask.

"I know why," Uriah says, "they were seeing who could go longer without eating or drinking as a bet and Four you said that the serum was in the food and water," Uriah explains. I nod my head.

"Well that stupid bet saved Hector's life," I say then Hector continues.

"We made it to the train then we went to Candor, we were there for a while and then Christina and Will showed up," Hector says. Tris stiffens at her friends names. "We were there for two more days with Christina and Will, but when we were about to come to Amity the Erudite began to shoot at us and throw grenades and that's not the worst part, some Dauntless chose to fight for the Erudite, we call them Dauntless traitors, anyways, when the battle began to get bad everyone fled Candor in a panic except for a few people who stayed and fought. Lynn told me to run for the train and avoid anyone unless it was someone I knew, so I did for almost three months, until now," Hector finishes. We all sit in silence after Hector is finished, still taking in his story.

"Alright so where do we head first," Shauna asks, breaking the silence.

"I say we check around factionless territories to see if they're hiding around there," I suggest.

<Tris's POV>

I agree with Tobias and then we all just sit and wait on the train until we reach the area of the city where factionless are common. As we ride we get more towards the core of the city which is destroyed beyond belief. Buildings are crumbled and snow covered. The streets are cracked and covered in bullets. One thing is missing though. I can't see a single soul. "We should get off here!" Tobias yells over the rushing winds and breaking me out of my trance.

The six of us stand up and prepare to jump. I take Tobias's hand and then we jump together with the rest of the group. When we land someone yelps in pain. I look to see Uriah rocking on the ground in pain. Zeke rushes to his side. "Uriah what is it?" Zeke asks.

"My leg," Uriah says. The rest of us crowd around him. Uriah shows us his leg and it appears to be dislocated. I move closer to his leg and prepare to push the bones back together.

"Uriah, this is going to hurt, a lot," I tell him. Uriah squeezes his eyes shut and grabs Zeke's hand. I shift the two bones back in place and Uriah screams loudly. Shauna covers his mouth in fear that someone may hear him. Next I take one of the amity blankets and rip a thick strip off of it.

"I need something hard like a stuck to hold the leg in place when I tie it," I demand. Zeke hands me a long knife with a cover on the blade. Pressing the blade to Uriah's leg, I tie the cloth tightly around it and hope for the best. Zeke and Tobias help Uriah up and we begin to walk with Uriah's arms slung over Zeke and Tobias's shoulders. Walking slowly, we head in the direction of the dark alleys through the thick falling snow.

-----------------------

After about an hour of searching we find nothing. Uriah is so exhausted from trying to walk so we find a hidden alley and sit in the fluffy snow. While sitting I hear yelling in the distance then a giant bang sounds off.

A/N well damn.
