What Next

34|"That's A Start..."

<Third Person POV>

Tris get yanked into the building as Tobias tries not to watch from afar. He and the rest of their friends rush into the now unguarded entrance. They sneak in and quickly take in their surroundings. Tobias looks at everyone, they stare back at him waiting for instruction. "Okay split up into pairs, Chris and Will, Mar and Uriah, Shauna and Zeke, and Caleb and I. Look for Lynn, thats our first priority, once we have her. you will all look for Jeanine to kill her, Caleb and I will find Tris. If anyone is hurt to the point where we can't get to Jeanine, hide in the building with Tris's wanted poster on it and do not move, wait for everyone else, thats where we will regroup. Good luck now lets move," Tobias instructs. Caleb looks down a bit at the mention of Lynn's name. He didn't know what it was until just now. Lynn, its very pretty. The group of eight sprints to the star well, guns at the ready, an alarm beings to sound off. "They know we're in the building, we have to move fast, everyone take a floor, there are six floors and four pairs so we have to hurry," Tobias demands. This is the last thing he says before the start sprinting up the stairs. Christina and Will take the first floor. Shauna and Zeke split off from the group upon reaching the second floor. Marlene and Uriah exit the stairwell at the third floor, leaving only Caleb and Tobias in the stairwell.

"What a way to bond with my sisters boyfriend," Caleb jokes. Tobias rolls his eyes as they jog up the stairs.

"If we're bonding then you should know, I hate sarcasm," Tobias states as he opens the door to the fourth floor. Upon opening it an Erudite guard catches sight of Tobias and body checks him into the railing of the stairs. Tobias's back slams into the metal railing , making him grunt in pain. "Cale shoot to kill!"

The guard sees Caleb who has raised his gun. Before the young Prior can shoot the guard pulls out his own gun and aims it at Caleb. The sound of the gun unloading rings in the small space. Caleb's face contorts as the bullet plants itself in his side. He falls on his back, his head slamming against a step. Though he remains conscious, Caleb does not stand up. Blood seeps from the new wound in his side and his vision goes a bit fuzzy.

Tobias regains balance and hits the guard over the head with his gun. This man passes out, but to Tobias's misfortune, two more bulky men approach him. Tobias shoots one of them in the shoulder. The other guard grabs Tobias by his shoulders and throws him against the railing. Tobias flies back over the railing, but just manages to grab onto one of the rods on the rail. Without taking time to catch his breath, Tobias uses his free hand to pull a small revolver from his jacket. Aiming it at the first guards skull, he shoots. This guard falls to the ground dead, and with just one more shot from Tobias, the other guard falls as well. With all the strength he has left, Tobias pulls himself back over the railing, rushing to Caleb's aid. "Hey Caleb stay with me," Tobias mutters as he removes his belt, tying it around Caleb's abdomen, above the bullet wound. He then tears off the bottom hem or his shirt to absorb the blood. Caleb becomes slightly more conscious and lifts his head up. "Can you walk?" Tobias asks. Caleb nods before letting Tobias help him up. Caleb leans on Tobias a little, but manages to eventually stumble along on his own. The two boys begin to search that floor for Lynn, shooting guards as they go.

The guards take Tris away from Peter and lock her in a cell. "Alright my men, where is my special thanks from Jeanine for bringing in a fugitive?" Peter requests, hoping that he will get close enough to her to kill her.

"Our leader thanks you for your service, but requests you please leave the building," one of the guards inform Peter who shakes his head mysteriously.

"I'm sorry to say thats not going to work for me," Peter states before pulling out a pistol and shooting everyone in that room. Tris hits the glass of her prison cell door, as if to remind Peter to let her out.
