"Wake up."

"Farlan, is she awake?" I heard an unpleasant voice call out from the hall.

ugh

"Farlan, how much would I have to pay you to lie to him."

"She's awake," Farlan immediately betrayed me.

"She is not-"

"You need to wake up- my mom wants to see you," Levi marched into the room, adjusting the long lace gloves my body was wearing. "Wake up."

well ofc she does

"You should've told me! I would've been up ages ago," I shot up out of bed- "Farlan go find me a suit."

i hate levi but

his mom seemed really nice

i also think that getting close to her would infuriate that gnome of a man

"Hurry up," Levi leaned against a wall, the train of the long blue dress he was wearing splaying out on the floor.

"That's a pretty dress- I don't remember buying that one."

"It's my mother's," he frowned, "it wasn't my choice."

"It looks good on me, she has good taste."

"We need to switch back," Levi seemed tired thinking about this.

"Farlan- find me a suit that matches the dress- I think Duchess Ackerman would appreciate it."

"Why would you fuel her?"

"Because I love your mom, unlike someone," I rolled my eyes at him. "Besides, you're the one who told me to be nice to her."

"Did I tell you to be nice or did I tell you to be normal?"

"My normal is nice."

"Oh no- she's delusional."

"Rude."

"Asshole."

"Now you're the one escalating-"

"I only escalate with proper cause."

"As if."

"Y/N- here's the suit-" Farlan laid it out in the bed, before escaping the room.

i don't blame him

"Now it's your turn to leave," I waved Levi away. "Unless you want to watch me strip."

"It's literally nothing I haven't seen before," he rolled his eyes indignantly, turning to the wall. "When will we be leaving for your estate?"

"I thought you wanted to look in the library," I grumbled, struggling to undo the buttons on his shirt. "This is annoying- I should call Farlan back in."

"I'm not that incompetent- don't start rumors," Levi scowled, marching over to me.

"Not my fault you have huge ass fingers- I'm not used to them."

"Hold still shithead," he pulled me closer, quickly unbuttoning the shirt. His- my - lips were slightly parted, totally concentrated on the task at hand- I could feel my cheeks heating up.

"You are insufferable," he held the suit jacket up to me, "you're the one getting flustered by it."
