The Dining Room.

Baelon was seated beside Reckon who boasted to Luke and Jace about his many battles, causing Baelon to roll his eyes every once in and while. Finally, his eyes meet Cahir's. The dark-haired male stands and he makes his way towards the silent guard. "It's been a while my old friend." Baelon states

"My prince, it's an honor to be graced by your presence once again." Cahir states "So formal, what happened to the prideful man I fought beside." Baelon asks, offering him a friendly smirk. "He was left in the snake's den." Cahir states "And yet you managed to survive, I've missed you." Baelon states, growing serious.

Cahir stares at him deeply in the eyes, not letting emotion cloud his face. "As have I." Cahir whispers

....

Aemond spoke lowly with his brother across the long table, his eyes solely focused on Baelon, a dark emotion clouding his eyes, filled with anger and hate.

When suddenly the double doors slam open, everyone stands to attention as two guards approach the grand table. But it wasn't the king who appeared but a woman, with dark auburn hair and bright sapphire eyes. She was beautiful. "I do apologize for my tardiness, there is no possible excuse." Her soft voice states, her ruby lips pulled up in a smirk.

"Who are you?" Alicent asks, anger in her eyes, her hands resting on the wooden table. "My wife." Baelon announces and everyone turns to him. Baelon stands and he makes his way towards the woman. "The name is Arianne Sand." Arianne says, her eyes meeting her husband's.

Aemond watches as Baelon greets her with a soft kiss on the back of her hand. "A Bastard." Aegon scoffs beside him, eyeing the attractive female. "A Dornish woman." Otto hisses

"Arianne, my dear daughter, it's such a pleasure." Rhaenyra gushes, approaching the girl with open arms. "Mother." Arianne whispers, hugging her in return.

"That's absurd, Rhaenyra?" Alicent questions "I apologize my Queen, but my son visited Dorne to gain an ally for the kingdom, when he met Arianne, she was a bastard girl, but she was raised as a daughter of Dorne. Bastards over there are not hated or scorned. They fell in love, it's all so sweet, I couldn't deny them a traditional Valyrian wedding." Rhaenyra says

Alicent scoffs, shaking her head. This was a ploy to normalize bastards, she knew it in her gut.

Aemond turns away from the smiling couple, his eye glaring down at the table, jealousy filling his chest. He's spent years without missing Baelon, he got over their false friendship. He wasn't about to ruin it after a few moments with the male.

"Alicent, please sit, I understand the idea of a bastard is an uncomfortable subject, especially when you had to deal with rumors of your grandson. But please forgive it this one time, I am here for my family." Arianne sneers teasingly, a smirk playing on her lips. She was vicious, perfect for this family.
