When her grip tightened on neck a little more, I got a flash of vision inside my head.
Everything in my mind went blinding white for a second and then it all came back, except this time, it was my hearing and vision going blank; my body started feeling numb and I couldn't feel her grip on my neck anymore.
I saw Eros and the intruder girl in my head, talking to each other.
"That's alright, Diana. It's a deal." Said Eros to the intruder girl.
After that my legs started feeling weak and the last thing I remembered was collapsing to the floor.
When I woke up I found myself in Eros's arms, I looked up at him and he said, "Finally, Rue is awake."
I was a little confused about what happened so I asked Eros looking up at him. I really didn't need Eros to carry me around everywhere, but I can't really do anything about it when I'm unconscious.
"Well... what was the last thing you remember?" He asked me instead.
"I- the last thing I remember was that woman's hand getting tighter against my beck and then I collapsed."
"A lot has happened since then, but all you need to know right now is that 'intruder girl' is actually Diana and she's kinda on our side now. But we did lose the portal game thing."
"Uhh ok. Can you put me down?"
And with that Eros put me down in a swift motion. When my feet touched the ground, my whole head started spinning around, I got a huge migraine. I started to wobble and Eros was standing right beside me; ready to catch me if needed.
His arms reached out to me but I stopped him and said, "I'm fine, you don't need to babysit me."
Eros just hummed and started walking in front of me. I looked behind me and I saw Diana walking behind Carl. I asked Eros what exactly happened.
"Well, after you collapsed, Carl and I, both rushed towards you and attacked Diana. Turns out we weren't the only ones with powers. We fought and then somehow, we found out what Diana wanted. She is a player stuck in this game, just like us. And she said she would help us find the Key if we let her stay with us." He explained.
"But then how do you know if we can trust her?" I questioned.
"Oh we don't, she just looks hot and helpless." He answered.
