Karaoke (Part 1)

(Mark and Amy are not together in this part of the story and all photos at the top are ones I found off google)

Main characters of the chapter- Ethan, Mark, Jack, Tyler

Ethan and the rest of the crew decided to go do karaoke one night after making a video together so they loaded up into a van and went to a bar (Everyone meaning- Jack, Mark, Ethan, Tyler, Bob, Wade, Amy and Kathryn)

Ethan sat In the back in between Jack and Tyler, he would occasionally look up at Mark who was driving. He has liked Mark for awhile and everyone knew except Mark and he was absolutely scared of what Mark would say when and if he found out. Jack saw Ethan looking at Mark and smiled a little coming up with a plan for Ethan to admit his feelings for Mark.

They pulled up to the bar and they all walked inside Jack quickly getting a table for everyone to sit at sorta close to the stage. Jack quickly brings Ethan away from the table to talk to him. Ethan looked at him with a confused glance and saw Tyler walk over. "What's up guys?" Ethan asked cautiously and looked between the two men.

Jack and Tyler smiled with Jack speaking first "You need to tell Mark how you feel tonight" he puts a strong hand on Ethan's shoulder and Ethan could feel his face turn bright red "W-why would I need to do that?!" He watched the two men chuckle and frowns "Its not funny, I need a drink if I'm going to do this..." he walked away from the group going up to the bar and asking for a strong drink as he looked up at the stage watching people come and go not paying attention to the song they were singing. After a few drinks he got up and walked over to the stage when someone was done his hands shaking nervously as he gave something to the DJ as he climbed on the stage grabbing the microphone with a shaky hand but it didn't show he was nervous, was he really going to do this?

He looked over at the table and saw Jack and Tyler giving him a thumbs up but Mark wasn't paying attention, the alcohol started to hit him causing him to relax as the music started up slowly and he closed his eyes starting to sing all his nerves melting away.

(The song he is singing)

"When I met you your words were new and so exciting...you sold me things, you gave me wings, you were inviting.."

he opened his eyes as he sang to see everyone staring at him in shock including Mark

"Now your gone from my life..I'm adrift on the sea, I'm just singing Ooh-oh, ooh-oh, ooh-oh, ooh-oh, oh
Ooh-oh, ooh-oh, ooh-oh, ooh-oh, oh
Ooh"

He listened to the music as it continued to the next part of the song seeing Mark walk closer to the stage made Ethan shake a bit

"But now it seems that life's a dream I'd rather wake from...I stumble here to there, No truth that I can take from- cause your gone from my life...I'm so blind I can't see..I'm just singin' Ooh-oh, ooh-oh, ooh-oh, ooh-oh, oh
Ooh-oh, ooh-oh, ooh-oh, ooh-oh, oh
Ooh,
But elusive you remain..there is nothing left to gain..it's the same old sad refrain"

Ethan started to cry a bit his voice not wavering from his singing as a tear rolled down his cheek

"When I met you my life was blue, I was so lonely...you took me by surprise your eyes were all mine, Only..now your gone from my life..I'm adrift on the sea..and it's all I can do to breath!" Ethan closed his eyes tightly singing his heart out to Mark as Mark stands there in awe but still isn't getting the point that Ethan is confessing to him, he could tell the song was almost over.

"Ooh-oh, ooh-oh, ooh-oh, ooh-oh-oh-ooh, oh
Ooh-oh
Ooh-oh, ooh-oh, ooh-oh, ooh-oh-oh-ooh
Ooh...When I met you your words were new..."

And with that the song was over and the bar was dead silent as Ethan opened his eyes and saw everyone staring. Ethan started to cry and jumped off the stage to run past Mark outside.

(Switch to Marks POV)

As Mark was watching Ethan sing his heart fluttered, he walked closer to the stage to see the blue boy sing with all his heart. He was wondering how he has never heard his best friend sing before..he really liked his voice..the song stopped and everyone looked at Ethan in shock but he ran past me crying. I looked back at the table of our friends confused and Jack and Tyler ran after him with concern, he follows his friends outside hoping they won't notice him and they didn't.

(Switch to Jacks POV)

Jack ran after Ethan with Tyler following, they hadn't realized it was raining but they didn't care as they looked around for Ethan not finding him. Jack started to panic as he looked at Tyler "Tyler...what have we done?.." they looked down an alley to see Ethan sitting in a puddle his clothes soaked and his hair dripping wet as they ran to him "Oh thank god Ethan.." Jack and Tyler hugged him tightly as Ethan cried, they still hadn't noticed that Mark was lurking in the shadows. "I'm sorry we made you do this E.." Jack whispered and held the blue haired boy as he cried. "He didn't understand Jack..he never will understand that I like him.." Ethan said just loud enough for Mark to hear from a few feet away.

(Switch to Marks POV)

Mark stood there watching the three when he heard Ethan say something causing a blush to rise to his face and his heart to race "He will never understand that I like him..." Mark started to cry as he saw Tyler look back at him and smile a little looking to Ethan "Oh I think he will E.." the three turned to look at Mark and Ethan looked embarrassed. Mark walked over to them and the two stepped back away from Ethan watching from a distance. He saw Ethan look away from him and took one of his wrist in his hands seeing Ethan hiss in pain he got confused and then he suddenly realized why and his blood boiled "Ethan. Roll up your sleeves."

(Narrative POV)

Ethan looked at Mark shocked by the sudden tone of his voice but shook his head trying to back away from Mark but Mark held tighter to his wrist causing Ethan to cry out. "S-stop Mark that hurts!" Jack had started to move forward to stop Mark but Tyler put his hand against his chest "Let them work it out, he won't hurt Ethan"

Mark didn't realize he had tears leaking from his eyes as he looked at his best friend, he was hurting him..he quickly let go in shock with himself..why would he do that? Ethan cried and rolled up his sleeves, Mark saw cuts all the way from Ethan's wrist to the inside of his elbow some of them old some a bit new but scabbed over and all he could say was "Ethan..why?..." The blue boy was silent as he looked at the ground crying the rain mixing with his tears "Im sorry Mark.." Mark didn't push the question any further for now as he picked Ethan up and walked past Tyler and Jack going back into the bar.

(Ethan's POV)

He wrapped his arms around Marks neck as they went inside out of the rain, Mark sat him down at the table with all his friends. He felt something warm around him and saw Mark laying his own jacket over his shoulder and walk up to the stage. Tyler and Jack had walked back in and sat on either side of Ethan as they looked at Mark confused as he picks a song and steps on stage making eye contact with Ethan as he started singing

"Wise men say
Only fools rush in
But I can't help falling in love with you
Shall I stay?
Would it be a sin
If I can't help falling in love with you?"

Mark sings the rest of the song as he makes his way towards Ethan and at the end of the song he brings the mic down and kisses Ethan gently and pulls away "I like you to Ethan"

(Authors Note!! Sorry this is a long long chapter but I loved this idea and thought it was cute lol)
