Warnings- Near Death Experience

Plot- This is when Mark and Ethan were in highschool and Mark was a bully and Ethan was auditioning for the school musical when Mark and his gang got in trouble and were made to be a part of the crew and someone tries to kill Ethan on show night with a prop but Mark pushes him out of the way but gets hurt in the process.

Ethan was the biggest theater nerd in the school and this year was the schools production of the little mermaid and Ethan got the main role of The prince, he was beyond excited as his best friend Mika was Ariel so he was much more comfortable "Kissing" her in the musical. (Don't come at me if that doesn't actually happen I've never seen it). When Ethan walked into after school rehearsal Mika pulled him aside into the shadows of backstage "Whoa! Mika what's wrong?" Ethan asked setting his backpack down and looking to her and she just puts a finger to her lips and points to the other side of the stage to see Mark, Jack and Tyler arguing with the director "Oh no what are they doing here.." Ethan and Mika ventured closer so they could listen

"This is so stupid! We don't even know how to do any of this stuff!" All three of the boys complained causing the two friends to giggle but that was a bad idea because Mark pulled back the curtain and growled at them "Your so dead after whatever this is." The two ran away laughing and got ready for rehearsal.

After months of rehearsal and someone teaching the three stooges how to run some things it was finally show night and Ethan and Mika were so excited. Mika was a lesbian and Ethan was Gay so they weren't so nervous about the kiss and they knew all of their lines but Ethan couldn't shake the feeling something was going to go wrong tonight and boy was he right. Halfway through the show when Ethan was standing on stage doing a monologue one of the stage lights started to fall from the rafters and Ethan not wanting to break character started to shake, he knew he couldn't move or it would ruin the entire scene. 'this is it..' he thought to himself 'I'm going to die onstage in front of everyone..' The light started to fall and everything seemed to move in slow motion for Ethan. Mika was watching from the side screaming at him to move as one of her friends held her back. The director also screaming at him to move. Everyone in the crowd screaming or crying out in shock. But Ethan couldn't move or breath or hear anything but his heart pounding in his ears. He turned his head to his right and saw Mark running at him until suddenly he was on the floor and Mark was in his place and all that he could see was Mark's head crushed under the light his skull cracked open and bleeding. All he heard was screaming and crying from what he assumed to be Mika as he stared blankly at the ceiling before passing out.

Ethan woke up after what seemed like minutes in a hospital bed with an iv attached and Mark laying in a bed next to him with his head bandaged but he was alive "Oh thank god..." Ethan sit up carefully and carefully moved over to Mark and sat in a chair next to his bed "Mark I don't know If you can hear me but your an idiot, I don't know what the HELL you think your were doing but you almost died in the process of doing it!" Ethan frowned down at the Raven haired boy. "I just wish I knew what your thought process was at the time Mark..you don't even like me so why save me?" Ethan watched him breath slowly and went to get up when someone grabbed his hand, he jumped a bit feeling startled as he looked at Mark who had his eyes open "M-Mark?.." Mark winced at the loudness of Ethan's voice and quickly Ethan covered his mouth as Mark spoke. "Ethan..." he groaned and closed his eyes his throat feeling like it was on fire from the tube that had been down it during surgery "Jack and Tyler said they were going to prank you during show night but I didn't know what they were going to do until it was to late..I'm so sorry Ethan..I also...I also really like you Ethan..I couldn't just sit back and watch that light crush someone I love" Ethan stood there in shock as Mark squeezed his hand and fell asleep still holding onto Ethan's hand.

Marks POV of the event

Mark was standing off to the side in the backstage as he worked with the props, making sure they were where they needed to be and ready when people needed them. He'd admit he liked doing this but wasn't going to tell Jack and Tyler that when suddenly they were right next to him "Hey Mark! We sabotaged one of the stage lights so it would fall next to Ethan and scare him!" Mark looked at the two in shock "You did what?!" And as if on cue Mark heard people start screaming mostly Ethan's friend Mika. He could see her try to go after him but one of her friends held her back so she didn't get hurt. Everyone was screaming at Ethan to move but he was frozen. He looked like he couldn't breath. "Ethan move damn it!!!" I screamed but he still didn't budge "Fuck!" Suddenly I was running for him and tackled him to the floor pushing him away and taking his spot then everything went dark and all I could  feel was a searing pain in my head like someone was beating it open with a hammer.

End of Marks POV

Ethan never left Marks bedside after he was released from the hospital, he kept thinking about what Mark said but he hasn't woke up since he said it. The doctors told Ethan he had gotten seriously injured but it wasn't anything they couldn't fix but he might have some memory problems for awhile so he might need help. Ethan was half asleep sitting in the chair when Mark squeezed his hand again causing his eyes to shoot open "M-Mark?" Mark smiled at Ethan "Hey Blue boy" Ethan blushed a bit and hugged him gently "Don't scare me like that again Mark.." Mark chuckled a bit hugging him back "I'm sorry, Would you like to be my boyfriend?.." Ethan smiled and started to cry "Of course Mark!"
