The Football Game

Characters of this chapter- Mark, Ethan and Tyler and some Jack

Warnings- Violence, Possible Angst

Plot- Mark has a crush on Ethan who is a cheerleader (don't like it go away) but when Tyler gives Ethan his jersey to wear on his way to the game Mark gets angry and  fights Tyler on the field during the game. (There is more but I'm not gonna put it all in the plot lol)

It was a Friday night and homecoming night which meant a football player gave their jersey to a cheerleader before the game to wear around school. Ethan's best friend Jack had already gotten Felix'a jersey and Ethan was secretly hoping for Marks, he was football captain and hottest boy in school. He had waited all morning for Mark to come to him and was upset when he didn't but then Tyler came along and he looked super nervous which was really cute "Hey Tyler what's up?" Ethan asked shutting his locker and looked to the group of his cheer friends talking near by with Jack spread in the mix (yes they are all wearing their cheer uniforms including skirts. Once again if you don't like it skip this chapter) Tyler smiled nervously at Ethan "I uh- I saw you didn't have a jersey yet so I wanted to give you mine" His little group squealed and clapped as a red faced Ethan took the jersey from Tyler and slipping it on "Thanks Tyler" he hugs him tightly "I'll see you at the game tonight ok?" Tyler smiles and nods walking away from the blue haired boy as he walks back to his little group with a smile. Jack blushed as he watched Felix roll up with Mark and his eyes went wide when he saw Mark clench his fist, he followed Marks eyes to the back of the jersey Ethan was wearing and the other girls noticed and pulled Ethan to the middle of the huddle. "Guys what are you doing?" Ethan asked confused and tried to peak over the crowd barley spotting Mark 'What's he doing here? Maybe he's just with Felix?' Then he looked down to Marks clenched fist and saw his jersey "Oh no.." Mark relaxed and frowned as he threw his jersey to the ground and just walked away. Felix apologized to the group and gave Jack a kiss on the cheek and ran after Mark. Ethan emerged from the huddle crying a little as he picked up Mark's jersey "Im sorry Mark..I never meant to hurt you..."

School was over now and Ethan and the rest of the cheerleaders including Jack were getting ready for the game. Ethan held the two jerseys in his hands looking at the both, he's always had a crush on Mark but Tyler was so sweet to him. Jack noticed Ethan in a zone and tapped his shoulder "Hey man, it's almost time to take the field you ready?" Ethan nodded and took one more glance at the jerseys and put them down since they weren't allowed to wear them during the game. Ethan was the top flyer of the group and co captain of the squad, he was the most gymnast of them all. The cheerleaders got to the sidelines looking all dolled up in the school colors with their Pom poms to match, Ethan smiled as he cheered. This was his favorite thing to do in the whole world, the band started to play as the football team took the field and they cheered. (I know nothing about cheer as I was a band kid so some of this is probably wrong) it was Ethan's time to shine, everyone was watching including Mark and Tyler the two people he wanted to be watching. Ethan's feet and arms moved on their own like he didn't have to think about the moves he was making and he didn't, he took off in a run down the side of the track starting with a cartwheel going into a back handspring doing a few flips and twist as he landed perfectly on his feet on the side of the track next to the football team doing a little wave to them and the crowd and running back to the group as the team started to do warmups.

Mark had noticed that Tyler was staring at Ethan as he did his thing and that made Mark angry for some odd reason. When they took the field to do warmups Mark "Accidentally" bumped into Tyler causing Tyler to glare at him "Dude what the fuck is your problem today huh?" Mark glared at him and grabbed the front of his jersey "You know damn good and well what my problem is! You knew I was going to give Ethan my jersey and you went and gave him yours!" Tyler just smirked "He took it didn't he? He obviously didn't want yours" "Im going to fucking end you stupid son of a bitch!" Mark screamed as he tackled Tyler to the ground. Ethan heard a whistle blow as to indicate something was going on on the field, he turns around to find Felix and the coach's trying to pull Mark and Tyler apart "Oh my god!" Ethan dropped his Pom Poms and ran onto the field with Jack following behind him. After a few minutes they finally got Mark off Tyler and Ethan knelt down next to him and put a hand on his cheek "Tyler?! Tyler are you ok?!" Tyler groaned and nodded indicating he was ok but Mark looked worse, he had tears pouring down his cheeks and his nose was bleeding, as the coach and Felix held him back and he looked like he was having a panic attack. Jack noticed and looked to Ethan nodding to him as to say 'Hey go comfort him I've got Tyler' as he knelt down next to Tyler.

Ethan walked up to Mark and took his hand gently as the coach and Felix let go knowing he was relaxing "Mark what the hell happened? What were you thinking?" The coach asked him and Ethan wanted to know as well. Mark sighed and ran his hands through his raven hair with shaky hands, as he already took his helmet off "Ethan...I told Tyler this morning before school that I was going to give you my jersey but I was just going to be late to school so he was supposed to tell you that you had a surprise later but then you took his..I saw that and I lost it...I don't want you to wear anyone's jersey but mine..I love you Ethan and I always have..I-I didn't mean to freak out like that but he kept looking at you and my jealousy got the best of me.. and I'm really really sorry...I didn't mean to hurt him or you...I hope you can forgive me Ethan.."at this point the two were in the center of the field with everyone watching them but to Ethan it just felt like it was the two of them and nothing else in the world mattered to him except Mark's words. Ethan and Mark locked eyes and the whole stadium was silent as they watched the pair, Mark put his hands on the small boys waist pulling him close and kissing him passionately causing the whole stadium to scream. Ethan wrapped his arms around Marks neck and kissed him back melting into his embrace, all too soon Mark pulled away causing Ethan to whine. Mark put his hand on Ethan's cheek causing him to blush "Would you like to be my boyfriend blue bird?" Mark asked and Ethan cried tears of joy as he nods and hugs Mark again as the stadium cheers louder then before.
