Mark enters the army

Mark and Ethan had been dating for 4 years and were thinking about having children since Mark knew about Ethan's condition. Ethan had taken a test one day while Mark was at work "Oh my god..." Ethan started to cry and put a hand on his stomach "I can't wait to tell Mark.." Ethan got a few things gathered up to surprise Mark with as he got home from work. Ethan had set everything up when Mark walked in and didn't see Ethan "Ethan my love? Everything ok?" He set his stuff down "In the bedroom Mark!" Ethan called to his boyfriend his voice slightly shaky and Mark seemed to notice "Ethan are you ok?" Mark made his way to the bedroom and was met at the door by Ethan who seemed a little pale. Mark put his hand on Ethan's forehead "You feel a little warm, are you ok?" Ethan went to say something but instead ran to the bathroom to throw up. Mark went to follow him but as he passed the bed he saw the positive test and smiled as he walked into the bathroom and rubbed Ethan's back "Oh Ethan..." Ethan sat up and leaned against Mark "Surprise" Mark chuckled and kissed Ethan's head putting his hand on Ethan's stomach "We are gonna have a baby Ethan"

3 months later

Ethan's pregnancy was going pretty well and they wanted to wait to find out the gender until birth. Mark came home one day super upset and Ethan was comforting him "Love what's wrong?" Mark had tears in his eyes as he was in the bedroom packing some of his things "I've been drafted into the Army love..I leave tomorrow" Ethan felt like he was going throw up "Your leaving?..." Mark could see the hurt look in Ethan's eyes, he ran to him and hugged him gently "Im sorry love..I don't want to go but I don't have a choice..." Ethan started to cry as he hugged Mark and they sat like that for hours in each other's embrace just enjoying the moment together.

The night Mark had to leave Ethan drove him to the airport and helped him take his stuff inside, once they got to the point that Ethan couldn't go any further Mark took his hands and Ethan spoke with tears in his eyes "Please don't die over there Mark...I love you so unbelievably much and we are gonna have a baby now.." Mark put a hand on Ethan's cheek "I promise that I'll be back darling ok? Just please take care of yourself and our little one and I'll be back before you know it" Ethan wiped away his tears and kissed Mark and then Mark started talking to the baby "Daddy will be back ok?" With that he kissed Ethan once more but passionately and then he was gone leaving a crying Ethan in the middle of an airport.

5 months later

Today was the day Mark was supposed to get home and boy was Ethan excited tomorrow was supposed to be his due date and it happened to be Christmas Eve. Ethan was standing in the airport waiting for Mark to come through the gates "Come on Mark..." Ethan turned to look at his phone when he felt a strong pair of arms around him and a whisper in his ear "You know you should really pay attention to your surroundings blue bird" he started to cry when he realized it was Mark and he turned to hug him back as best as he could with the baby bump. He started to cry as Mark hugged him "I missed you so so much Ethan" Ethan kissed Marks lips and pulled back "I missed you too Mark" Ethan looks at the time "It's almost midnight Mark maybe we should go home?" Mark nodded and picked up his bag also taking Ethan's hand.

When they started walking Ethan felt a pain in his stomach and stopped abruptly and put a hand on his stomach "Ow-" Mark stopped and looked back at him "You ok?" Ethan was quiet for a moment "I- I think?" Mark watched him cautiously as Ethan felt more pain "Ow ow ow!" He cried out and got to his knees. Mark ran over to him and knelt next to him and held him "Ethan are you ok? What hurts?" Ethan started to cry as he held his stomach then his water broke "Ethan I think our baby is coming.." Ethan looked to Mark and he looked scared. "It's ok love I'll get some help ok just don't move" Mark laid him down carefully and got up jogging over to an airport security officer who then called for an ambulance. Mark ran back over to Ethan who was crying and breathing heavily "M-mark it hurts" Mark teared up at the sight of his boyfriend in pain "I know love I know" he took Ethan's hand as he did his breathing exercises and the paramedics arrived taking them to the hospital.

They had their baby girl on Christmas Eve, they named her Arabella. Mark looked at Ethan and smiled "She's beautiful Ethan, This is the best Christmas gift I could have asked for but I have one more." Ethan looked at Mark confused as his mom walked in holding her phone Mark got on one knee next to Ethan's bed "Ethan Nestor darling. We have been together for close to 5 years now and I love you so much and now we have a daughter of our own it would be an honor if you would Marry me" Ethan started to cry, he couldn't say anything so he just nodded as Mark slipped the ring on his finger and kissed Ethan passionately then pulled away and kissed Arabella's head "I love you both so much."
