Main characters- Jack and Mark

Jack and Mark had been best friends for years and Jack had always liked Mark but could never tell him, it was Christmas Day and Mark and Jack were hanging out but Jack seemed a little down and Mark noticed "Jack you ok?" Jack forced a smile and nodded but Mark wasn't so sure "You know I'm here if you need to talk right?" Jack nodded as he looked to the floor and stood up grabbing his jacket walking towards marks front door "Jack? Where are you going?" He stood up to follow him but Jack put a hand on his chest to stop him "Im just going for a walk Mark...I'll be back later.,." mark again was hesitant but let Jack go as he watched him walk out the front door "I love you Jack..." he sits down and turns on the Tv flipping through the channels.

Jack put his hood up and his earbuds in as he blasted music into his ears to drown everything out, he had tears streaming down his face as he approached the biggest and highest bridge he could find. He pulled out his earbuds and put them in his hoodie pocket and took it off and texted Mark

"Hey...I just wanted to say I'm sorry and I love you...I've always loved you Mark and I always will...please don't forget me when I'm gone Mark...I apologize for messing up your life and I promise I'll never bother you again. Goodbye Mark"

Jack shut off his phone and set it with his headphones and hoodie and looked out over the water and the cars that were passing by didn't seem to notice him. He climbed the protective railing of the bridge and up onto the edge as he debated his life choices 'If I did this would Mark actually miss me?.. would anyone miss me?..' he sighs and pulls on his hair as he looked out over the water.

Mark hears his phone ding and looked at it with a smile seeing Jack texted him but that smile quickly faded when he read the message. "What is he talking about?" That's when the tv changed.

"Breaking news- a man is on the edge of the bridge! Passerby's have tried talking him down to no avail and police are on their way." Mark looked at the screen to see his favorite green haired boy "No!" He took off running to his car and drove to the bridge not bothering to turn his car off as he parked and got out running over to the taped off area the police stopping him before he could get passed it "Hang on sir, this is a dangerous situation-" Mark shook his head starting to cry "You don't understand that's my best friend!" The police let him go through and Mark took off running to Jack as fast as his legs would carry him "Jack?! Jack it's Mark!" Mark saw his friend spin to look at him and Mark could see his red tear stained face "Why did you come Mark?...it's to late for me now..." he turns around and goes to step off the edge. "Jack please don't do this! I love you Jack! I love you so fucking much!" Jack stepped over the edge and everyone screamed and Mark tried to grab his hand but missed by a split second and couldn't do anything but watch him fall "Jack!!" He screamed as tears poured down his face as he hangs half over the bridge and soon Jack was gone and the police pull Mark away from the edge. Mark collapsed to his knees on the sidewalk breaking down into tears. The police decided it would be best to put Mark into a mental hospital.

After Mark had been in the hospital for a few months he started "Seeing" Jack and talking to him and Jack explained to him why he did what he did and Mark forgave him and told him he missed him.
