Finn had been planning a date for them for about two days now. Today was the day that she would go with him on that date. She had no idea what they were doing. Finn told her to dress casually so it couldn't be that bad then. He also said that they wouldn't be in the castle so it had to be outside because where else would it be.
She hadn't seen much of Lexa. It wasn't a bad thing although she did find herself hoping she would bump into her. She had no idea why though. Clarke only saw Lexa at the dining room, mainly.
She was done getting ready and was now waiting for Finn to get her from her room. She was standing on the balcony. It was a beautiful day out. The sun was shining and there was a nice breeze. It was quite nice. She loved spring weather the most. Summer was a little too hot for her but it was still nice.
There was a knock on her door. She walked out of the balcony and went over to the door, opening it. Finn was in casual clothes. He was in dark pants with a white shirt. He must have just showered because his hair was a little damp. He looked good.
"Hi." Clarke said.
Finn smiled. "Hey, ready?" He asked her. She nodded and stepped outside of her room. He led her through the castle as they talked. She has started to enjoy Finn's presents as the days went on. "Since today's weather is perfect, I'd thought we could walk around the kingdom."
"I'd like that. I've been wanting to see the area." She said.
Finn walked them to an exit and they stepped outside. The sun was shining down on them, warming her. Hopefully, she didn't get too hot.
They walked into the town area. The walk was probably around half a mile. Finn pointed out historical statues and monuments as they passed them. Everything was so beaufilul, there was so much nature and even animals. She spotted a few deer towards the fields near the castle and butterflies, birds and bees were constantly flying around. She would love to sit down with some paper and just draw. There was so much inspiration around.
But they made it to the town area. It was massive to say the least. People had shops open and everyone was walking around. "Did you eat lunch?" He asked. Clarke shook her head. "Let's eat first and then we can walk around."
Finn led her to a small corner restaurant. The place was small but it was very clean and comfortable. There was a counter with a menu at the front. A woman was wiping down the area behind the counter.
The woman turned around and her jaw dropped. She quickly closed her mouth and went straight up to the counter. "Hello! I can take your order whenever you are ready." The woman said, nervously. They both nodded.
Clarke was looking at the menu. The food was a little different from Arkadia. There was a little more ocean food but it all sounded really good. She was thinking about getting grilled chicken and vegetables. There were potatoes, greenbeans, carrots and broccoli.
Finn looked at her, making sure she made up her mind. He walked up to order and told the woman what he wanted. He ordered salmon and rice. The woman looked very nervous but also very excited. Clarke ordered her food and the woman took it, writing it down.
Once they were done ordering, the woman went through a swinging door which led into the kitchen. "The prince is here with the princess." She heard the woman say. "Don't mess it up." Clarke laughed softly.
They sat down at an empty table. There were a few other people sitting but other than that it was empty. They sat across from each other. Finn wanted to know more about Arkadia so Clarke started to tell him.
She missed Arkadia but Polis has become a second home. She loved it here. Arkadia was simpler. Even though Clarke was royaly, she still had friends who had 'normal' lives. For example, Wells Jaha was one of her childhood friends and he was a civilian. But that doesn't seem like that happens here. Royalty is royalty and civilians are civilains. That was one of the biggest differences between the two kingdoms.
