She was standing out on the balcony, taking in the scenery. Right down below her was a courtyard. There was a fountain and bushes along with other things. People were walking around or sitting down on a bench. But the view in front of her was even better. Past the castle walls, a huge forest filled the lands and a mountain range. It was untouched, not a single building or path. Maybe one day she would explore it. With or without someone else.
She heard a knock on her door and walked back into the room. She made sure the doors to the balcony were shut and looked before answering the door.
When she opened the door, she was taken back by surprise. The person who was standing in the doorway was not Finn or a castle maid, like she was expecting but it was Alexandria.
She was in more appropriate clothes for the dinner. She had black pants and a jacket on with a white shirt under it. Gold designs and pins were on the jacket and her hair was out of the braids. Clarke didn't know where to look, she wanted to look and admire the girl but she felt rude doing so. She ended up just looking at her beautiful green eyes.
Alexandria smiled softly at her. "Dinner time." She said, leaning against the doorframe. Clarke nodded and walked out of the room. She closed the door and she saw Raven walk out of her room. Raven and her made eye contact. They were both incredibly nervous.
Alexandria started to walk and the two sisters sped up to keep up with her. The last thing she wanted to do was to get lost. "You two are probably the quietest princesses I've ever met." Alexandria said, turning to walk backwards.
Clarke spoke first because if Raven got to respond it was probably gonna be inappropriate. "You are the sketchiest princesses I've ever met." Clarke said. Alexandria only smiled and then turned back around, walking normally again. Clarke looked at Raven and rolled her eyes. Raven had an amused look on her face.
Raven leaned into her ear. "I like her." She whispered. Clarke shook her head. "You don't?"
Clarke grumbled. "So far, I find her kind of annoying." She whispered. Raven shrugged and they put some space between them.
It wasn't what Alexandria said that she found annoying, it was the way she presented herself. Her beauty was pissing her off and she bet Alexandria stared at herself in the mirror, drooling over herself. Her proud but relaxed walk showed that her confidence was way too high.
They walked into the dinning room. The dining room matched the rest of the castle. The dark theme but the light was thrown in with the designs. The room was long and thin with a long table in the center of the room. Candles were on the table and the chandelier. Statues and paints decorated the walls and big windows on the sides.
Everyone was at the table already. King Titus was at the head of the table. The Queen was on one of his sides and Finn was on the other. Jake and Abby were on the Queen's side.
Finn stood up and pulled out the chair next to him for her to sit. She sat down and he pushed her in. She thanked him with a smile and then he did the same for Raven before sitting back down. Alexandria put her hand on a chair that was one farther down from Raven. Titus glared at her, making her move to sit next to Raven.
Small talk started between the adults as the maids brought out the food. The food smelt and looked amazing. She felt her stomach grumble. "I hope you like your room." Finn said, as they filled their plates with food.
Clarke smiled. "I do." She said, and that was the truth. She loved the room. "Thank you."
It was kind of awkward for her because she was just sitting there in silence for most of the dinner. Raven and her talked, quietly for most of it. Finn would join into the conversation, every once and a while. Alexandria barely said anything and when she did it was very short answers.
