The moon was high in the sky when they arrived in Arkadia. Since it was dark, they couldn't see much of the town but from the looks of it, most of the town was made out of metal. The town houses and shops were mainly made out of metal sheets. But the castle was totally different. It was the opposite of Polis. Polis's castle looked like a villain could have lived there but the Arkadia castle looked like an actual princess lived there. It was very similar to a Romanian style castle.
Clarke was actually awake when they pulled up to the castle. Lexa was asleep this time. Raven and Luna were both half awake. Clarke rubbed Lexa's back, talking softly to her.
Lexa grumbled, opening her eyes. "My back hurts." Lexa mumbled.
"Well, good thing we're at Arkadia." Clarke told her. Lexa sat up and looked out the window.
They got out of the carriage and their bags were unloaded. A few people from the castle came out to carry their bags in and put them in their room.
They all walked into the castle like zombies. Lexa paid no attention to the castle or the design, she just followed Clarke to her room.
Once, they were inside Clarke's room, they underdressed down to their underwear and bra's before climbing into bed and passing out within seconds.
***
Last night was a blur. Clarke and Lexa both barely remember going to bed last night. But they were in a really comfortable bed and that's all that mattered to them at the moment.
Lexa was face down on the bed with Clarke laying on top of her. Their limbs were tangled and the blanket was wrapped all around their bodies.
Clarke was the first to wake. She rolled off Lexa and stretched. It was nice to be back in her room.
Her room was a little smaller than the one at Polis but that didn't matter to her. On the walls paintings and artwork covered the walls. Her room was white with wooden floors. The windows were scattered around the room. Her bed posts were wooden as well and the bed sheets and blankets were red and white. A table and seats were against the wall.
Lexa must have felt Clarek shift off of her because she woke up. Lexa rolled onto her back. "Where are we?" Lexa said in a raspy voice. Clarke laughed and kissed her. "Are we dead?"
"We are in Arkadia, Lex." Clarke said, as Lexa sat up. She looked around and finally realized that they were in Clarke's room. "Very different from Polis, I take it?"
Lexa nodded. "Not in a bad way though." Lexa looked at all the paintings. "I love it, actually." Lexa turned to look at her but her eyes drifted to her cleavage.
Clarke put her hand under her chin to make her look her in the eyes. "You've seen my boobs before, let's eat and then explore the castle." Clarke said, smiling.
"I haven't seen your boobs in a while though." Lexa complained.
"It's been less than a day since you've seen 'em." Clarke told her. Lexa pouted. "Fine, bath, eat and then explore."
"Yes!" Lexa exclaimed, jumping out of bed.
Clarke got out of bed and led them to the bathroom. "You are so lucky I love you." Clarke pressed a kiss to her lips. Lexa followed her like a happy little puppy.
After an argument over who loved each other more, they got into the bath. The bathroom was simple and matched Clarke's room. There was a painting in there as well.
Once they were washed and dried off, they went back into Clarke's room. Their bags were delivered to their room some point during the night so all of their clothes were available.
Clarke dug through her bags to find clothes and Lexa did the same. They put on comfortable clothing because for one they were tired and two they weren't leaving the castle yet. Lexa was in a white tunic and dark pants. Clarke put a simple dress on. Nothing too special. Lexa braided Clarke's hair and Lexa put her hair in a bun.
Just as they finished getting ready, there was a knock on the door. Clarke answered it, knowing it was just a breakfast delivery. The breakfast was similar to Polis's breakfast. Arkadia just had some more unique fruits and little stuff like that. Lexa found a new love with a fruit called Achacha. It was sweet with a bit of sourness, almost like a mango or peach. Lexa couldn't get enough of it.
Nevertheless, once they were full to the point where it was almost uncomfortable, they went to explore. After cleaning up of course.
The castle followed the Romanian style and had paintings covering the walls. Every once in a while, Clarke's paintings would be spotted on the wall. In Lexa's professional opinion, Clarke's paintings outshined all of the other ones.
But the inside of the castle wasn't nearly as impressive as the outside. There was a massive flower garden. There must have been atleast fifty flower species in the garden. There were all sorts of colors as well, blue, red, white, orange, pink, and so many others. There were tables and benches mixed in it.
Clarke was trying to show Lexa the rest of the outside but she could only focus on the flowers. Eventually, she just picked up Clarke and walked over to the garden.
Clarke laughed, wrapping her arms around her neck. "You could've just asked if you wanted to see the flowers." Clarke told her while laughing. Lexa kissed her, smiling.
Lexa bent down and placed Clarke onto the soft grass. Clarke laid down as Lexa kissed her. Lexa placed her arms on either side of Clarke's head, laying on top of her. She cupped Lexa's face.
"I love you." Lexa whispered, leaning her forehead against Clarke's.
"You love me more than flowers?" Clarke teased.
"Don't push it, princess." Clarke laughed. "I'm kidding." Lexa kissed her cheek. "There is nothing that I love more than you."
"And I too am in love with you."
Lexa scooted off of Clarke and started to pick some of the flowers. She intertwined them and eventually started to make a flower crown.
They lost track of time as they laid in the grass, surrounded by flowers. Butterflies and Bees flew around from flower to flower. They just talked and Lexa worked on her crown before placing it on Clarke's head. The scent of the flowers was also lovely. She was convinced that they were in heaven.
Clarke didn't want to get her dress too dirty so they moved off the ground and onto a bench. "Is there a lake or river here?" Lexa asked, as she rubbed Clarke's leg.
Clarke nodded. "Why? You wanna get me wet?"
"Oh, I already know how to get you wet."
"You are a pain in the ass." Clarke playfully slapped her arm as Lexa laughed. She rolled her eyes and Lexa pecked her cheek with a kiss.
Clarke leaned her head onto her shoulder and Lexa wrapped an arm around her. They sat in slience, just enjoying the scenery. Clarke was thinking about how thankful she was for Lexa and everyone. She was thankful for not marrying Finn. She was thankful for happiness and joy. And she would go through all of that horrid drama and whatnot again if it meant to be with Lexa forever. She's also learned more than she could imagine.
But one thing that Clarke has learned for sure is that happily ever after does exist.
The End.
