First Lessons

[(Y/N)'s POV]

Finally, the duel was done, and we were heading out of here. LID was nice and all seeing the students and the facilities, but I think it was safe to assume that all of us had enough of this place for one day. We managed to get to the front door without incident. Although, I did see the stares from some of the security guards. No doubt Reiji or Nakajima watching us. We didn't waste any time getting through the front door and away from the tower.

The walk back was a bit of a quiet one for the group. No surprise really since four out of five of them were rescued from a hundred story drop. That gave me the chance to think about what just happened. It seems as though my shadow powers are growing in strength. Just like what Aslla Piscu told me. It was also a shock to see Alina become a Duel Spirit.

I felt something tug at my vest making me look down. Ayu was walking by my side holding onto me tightly. I decided to take her hand and hold it instead. She looked up at me and I smiled at her giving her hand a comforting squeeze. She smiled back returning that same squeeze. Sora decided to spilt from us promising to come to You Show tomorrow.

We eventually returned to You Show without any else happening. We got inside and it was quiet. I guess that Syuzo was out and about somewhere at the moment. That, or he was in his office down the hall. I turn around to see how everyone was doing, but I was met with the inquisitive stares from Yuya, Yuzu, and the kids. They all had this amazed look to their faces as well with the kids being the most amazed.

(Y/N): "What?"

Group: "You're a Synchro duelist!"

(Y/N): *flinches* "Yeah... So?"

Yuzu: "It's just... We've never seen a Synchro summon performed before, let alone in person. It's a relatively new technique."

(Y/N): 'Not from my point of view. Forgot about that.'

Ayu: "It was SO COOL! The way you brought out TWO Synchro monsters during that duel! It's just... so... AMAZING!"

Futoshi: "It gave me big shivers~! I still can't get over it!"

Yuya: "Although, I do have a question."

(Y/N): "Yes, Yuya?"

Yuya: "Why didn't you use them during our duel? Were you holding back with me?"

(Y/N): "Well... To be honest. Yes, and no."

Yuya: "Why?"

(Y/N): "Only because I didn't want it to end so quickly. That, and I didn't have my Tuner monster in my hand. I had to make do with what I had."

Yuzu: "Yet you still beat him with ease."

Syuzo: "What's going on here?"

We all turned to see Yuzu's father standing there from the hallway. He had his arms crossed and a brow raised. It did make me wonder just how much he overheard. Yuzu came over and stood next to me. She gave me a smile before turning her attention back to her dad.

Yuzu: "Hey, Dad."

Syuzo: "Zuzu, can you tell me why all of you were late to classes today? You all should have been here fifteen minutes ago. That's not like you."

Yuya: "We had some... technical difficulties."

Syuzo: "Technical difficulties? What does that mean?"

(Y/N): "Allow me to explain. Yuya was approached by one of his classmates who attends the Leo Institute. He invited us to come to his school so he could duel Yuya."

Syuzo: "Really? Did you win, Yuya?"

Yuya: "Actually, it was (Y/N) who dueled him, but it was pretty bad."
