Toying Around I

[(Y/N)'s POV]

The others left the school to go do their warmups, or exercises that require to be outside. This gave me the perfect chance to acquaint myself with the school. It wasn't shown much besides the classroom, the entrance, waiting area, and the dueling area. If I was going to work here, then I needed to know where shit was. I submitted myself to the strategy of aimlessly wandering around the halls. I found myself first by the principal's office. There wasn't really much in here except inspirational posters and framed pictures. I was drawn to one in particular though. It was one of Yusho and Syuzo holding Yuya and Yuzu as infants. I picked it up off the desk and looked at it.

I remember vaguely from one of the later episodes that Yuya and Yuzu just "appeared", and people's memories were altered, but that didn't really make much sense. After all, since the quality of the show began to decline with the production of the Dark Side of Dimensions taking greater priority, I didn't buy into that. Whatever the reason is, it must be better than what the show tried to tell us. After all, Syuzo said himself that Yuzu had a birth mother. I smiled seeing the two men enjoying holding their children. It was bittersweet since I could picture me holding a swaddled Alina in my arms. Tears began to form in my eyes, so I had to put the picture down and wipe them away. 

I looked around and saw other memorabilia from You Show's early years including a class picture. There weren't that many students in it, but definitely more than what they had here. Everyone had smiles on their faces as the two men had grins. A snort escaped my lips as I spotted Yusho giving Syuzo a pair of bunny ears with his fingers. God, he is such a dork. Like father, like son. I left the room and wandered around some more. 

My wandering lead me back to the classroom and I took the time to actually look around. By the teacher's desk was the projector Syuzo used to teach Tribute summoning in that one episode. The desks all looked very nice, but that's not what caught my eye. My attention was focused on what was on the bookshelves, or lack thereof. This school was definitely ill-equipped to teach students here about Duel Monsters. I guess in a world where knowledge like that was only accessible by applying to the bigger duel schools, that's just the breaks. 

(Y/N): "Perhaps I could use LID's invasion later on to my advantage..."

I left the classroom since there was little left to explore. I eventually found the gym area of the school. It definitely was equipped to help students hone their parkour skills for Action dueling. Made me wonder if I should join in with the kids later to help sharpen my own skills. However, something else was concerning me greatly. As I walked through the hallways, checking the main areas where the populace here would be located, there was something else missing. There were absolutely ZERO security cameras in this place!

(Y/N): "How is that even possible? Syuzo should be considering himself lucky to have gotten this far without getting in trouble for not having proper surveillance of the place!"

Seriously though. This was still essentially a school, and every school should have security cameras at the bare minimum for the safety of the students. Three of the students here were only like eleven years old. That's a safety hazard that could get him arrested and this place shut down. I'm going to be fixing that, but there was a problem... Well, TWO problems.

(Y/N): "I don't have the job yet, and I don't think I have any money that can work here whatsoever. How am I going to solve this problem?"

My head swam in a few directions trying to solve this dilemma. Nothing that I came up with could possibly work without being ridiculously stupid in reason like "plot armor". That's when my memories probably gave me the answer. My talk with Aslla Piscu made me remember when he said I could make cards AND use them like Bakura did. One instance of this was when he used a spell called Chain Energy or something to play BDSM with some of Pegasus's guards. If he could use a spell like that outside of a duel, then maybe...
