Toying Around III

(3rd POV)

It was a nearly cloudless day as a cool breeze flew through the air. The warm spring sun shining its rays down onto Miami City giving its warmth to the grass and the trees while making the water around the city sparkle. A perfect day to be outside with the people you love or to take your lover out on a date. Inside the You Show Duel School, both Yuya and Sora were heading inside the dueling area. (Y/N), Yuzu, and the kids were standing by the observation window while Syuzo headed upstairs to the control room. (Y/N) was thinking of ways to use this battle as a means to prepare the others here, for academic purposes. Definitely not to prepare them for any sort of hypothetical interdimensional invasions or whatnot. That would just be silly.

(Y/N) decided to run over to the check-in office to look for some supplies. While she was doing that, Syuzo was getting everything ready to boot up the ARC generator for the duel. An interface appeared on the screen revealing the system's main menu. Syuzo selected the duel icon and that brought of the list of potential Action Fields to utilize. By the time that he was ready, and both duelists were raring to go, (Y/N) came back next to Yuzu armed with some new things. A clipboard, some lined paper, and a black ink pen. (Y/N) began scribbling some words on it already which caught Yuzu's attention. She looked over to see what she was doing, and it piqued her curiosity. 

Yuzu: "What are you doing?"

(Y/N): "Taking down notes."

Yuzu: "Okay... What for?"

(Y/N): "Your test."

Yuzu & Kids: "A test?!"

(Y/N): "I am your teacher now so expect this to be a regular occurrence from here on out. You will learn what happens here and apply it in your studies just as you will do the same with what I'm going to teach you in the classroom when any of you are matched together."

Ayu: "You're really taking your job seriously."

(Y/N): "After my once over of the classroom? Yes. Yes, I am. All of you are going to BREAHTE Duel Monsters when I'm done with you."

Futoshi: "To be honest, I would like that."

Tatsuya: "I'll be sure to do my best, Carmine-sensei."

(Y/N): "I appreciate the enthusiasm, Tate."

Tatsuya: "Tate?"

(Y/N): "Oh. Sorry. I thought it would be a cool nickname for you. I can call you by your full name if you wish."

Tatsuya: "N-No, no. I... I kinda like it. A name my friends can call me by."

Ayu: "That sounds awesome!"

Futoshi: *pouts* "Wish I could have one..."

Syuzo: <And so begins the epic showdown between our resident Pendulum expert and his wannabe student! Who will be the last one standing?>

Sora: "WOW! This is REALLY happening! I've so been looking forward to this!"

Syuzo: <Get ready to duel! Action Field: ON! Our card-slinging cowboys will be duking it out in the Wildest West!>

With the click of a single button, the screen changed to reveal an image of an old-style high noon town. The hologenerator whirled to life sending out rays of light from the emitters. The floor glowed white as the solid vision holograms began to materialize. Soon the ground they were standing on was no longer the glass-like floor. Now it was dry dirt ground warm to the touch. Rustic Mid-Western buildings came together out of thin air followed by fencing and cacti. A large wooden archway was at the entrance of town with the sign labeled "Hell River" in big, black words. The last touches done to the environment was the blazing sun and a tumbleweed rolling in the desert breeze. (Y/N) was never really one for cowboy-esque films, but she could appreciate the esthetic of the solid vision. The look of Sora's face, however, did not.
