The sun was setting on the oceanic horizon beyond the seaside Miami City. Its orange hues cascading over the ever-moving waves of the water, sparkling like hundreds of thousands of brilliant gemstones. It was perfect for an evening out on the town, the backdrop for a romantic encounter, or to watch calmly upon the beach. Many people were enjoying it as well. There were duelists who were using such a wonderful sunset to wrap up their last duels of the day. It's light reflected off the glass exterior of the Leo Corporation's duel school making it glow with an orange hue.

It would have been perfect for nearly everyone else, but not (Y/N). She had Yuzu on her back as she carried her back to the You Show Duel School. With all the time for her to stew in her thoughts, she was beginning to feel a new emotion--shame. It flooded her system as she replayed what happened at the warehouse twenty minutes ago. How Yuzu got injured. How Yuto got flung into the door and causing it to dent. What made it worse was that she wasn't entirely sure if the chaos that was wrecked was due to the miniaturized ARC system in Yuto's duel disk... or if it was because of her shadow powers. Either way, it went too far with what she did afterwards.

She tried to push it out of her mind, but her eyes sometimes darted over to Yuzu's bracelet. Knowing the context for that bracelet, and its purpose, her mind was also beginning to fill with worry. How did it trigger when Yuya didn't come to the warehouse like she planned? Was it because Yuzu was so scared? Or was it something more? (Y/N) pushed those thoughts out of her head as she was approaching the school.

She had to kick the door open since she was using both of her hands to ensure Yuzu didn't fall off her back. The sound of which caught the attention of the people inside. The first one to round the corner was Yuya, followed by Syuzo and Gong. When Yuya saw Yuzu on (Y/N)'s back, her head wrapped up in a bandage, he instantly bolted over with Syuzo behind him.

Yuya: "YUZU!!"

Syuzo: "Oh my God!"

(Y/N) waved them both off really quick, trying to get through. Once they did, she made her way over to the couch in the waiting room. Being as absolutely careful as she could, she gently set Yuzu down on the couch. Carly's maternal instincts kicked in once again as she repositioned Yuzu to lay down, placing one of the throw pillows underneath her head. Gong came back and held something out towards (Y/N).

When she turned to look, there was a blanket in his hand. She smiled and expressed her gratitude before taking the blanket and throwing it over Yuzu's body so she could rest. (Y/N) shuffled the three men out of the room so Yuzu could rest, taking them out to the dueling court where their voices wouldn't disturb her. She turned to face them and that's when Syuzo spoke up with worry and anxiety dripping from his voice.

Syuzo: "(Y/N), what is the world happened?! Why is my little girl injured!?"

(Y/N): "Please calm down."

Syuzo: "You don't get to tell me to calm down! Not when you left with my daughter and bring her back with a head injury!"

(Y/N): "If you'll take a breath, I can explain what happened."

Syuzo's heart was beating nearly out of his chest. Yuzu was the only family he had left after his wife died. He couldn't bear the thought of losing her. Yuya reach over and placed his hand on Syuzo's shoulder. The two of them locked eyes, and that's when he saw it. Yuya's red eyes had tears in them, clearly worried about her too, but he was trying his best to remain calm. He knew how close he and Yuzu are, so seeing him try his best to not lose his cool, he did the same, taking a deep breath to calm his nerves.

Syuzo: "Thank you, Yuya."

Yuya: "(Y/N), can you tell us what happened after our call?"

(Y/N): "In essence, we were unfortunate bystanders to an attack."
