Away from the Miami Dome where the duel between Ishijima Strong and Yuya Sakaki was currently taking place, situated underground, was a control station. It was a large room packed with multiple terminals and various monitoring equipment being operated by Leo Corporation employees. What were they monitoring? Any and all duels occurring in Miami City, whether it was in locations owned by Leo Corp or not. One of those duels being monitored was Ishijima and Yuya's. Everything was going as normally was it would. That is, until the main holographic monitor brought everyone's attention to an abnormal signal picked up by the survey stations. The Station Chief looked over to see a spot surrounded by a flashing red reticle. It was the location of the Miami City Duel Dome.

Male Analyst: "Sir, I'm detecting an unusual summoning signal from the city's coastal zone. The readings are off the charts!"

Chief: "What the hell? Analyze it immediately!"

The technician's got to work to determine what was causing the signal. The various terminals and programs going over every ounce of data that was coming through the system. The equipment made short work of identifying the energy pattern they detected. It went it over again and again to ensure total accuracy, as it was programmed to. What the result showed was a pattern that no one could explain or even fathom.

Female Analyst: "I have the result, sir. If the results are correct, then someone is using... Pendulum Energy."

Chief: "Pendulum Energy? Are you sure?"

Female Analyst: "One hundred percent confirmed, sir."

Chief: "Compile the result into a report. The president is going to want to know about this."

----- Back at the Miami Dome -----

[(Y/N)'s POV]

There it was. The moment that I had been waiting for ever since the duel started. The first ever Pendulum summon. What was weird was this feeling that coursed through me when it happened. It was like I was linked to it or something. It's difficult to describe accurately with words. Maybe it had something to do with how I used my newfound powers to have him hear his father's words? Wait... Newfound powers?

Aslla Piscu: 'Yes, my lady. You have the powers of the Shadow Realm coursing through you now. The title of the Lady of Shadows was not given to you for no reason. Nor lightly."

(Y/N): 'What other kind of powers do I possess?'

Aslla Piscu: 'Anything you can imagine when it comes to the Shadow Realm. You've seen the dark powers the Yugioh protagonists in your past life.'

(Y/N): 'Okay. We're going to have to set aside some time to discuss the full extent of my new abilities. For future reference, so I don't do something unintentionally.'

Aslla Piscu: 'As you wish.'

I could feel my spirit partner leave my mind for now. My attention shifted back to the duel at hand. Yuya had Performapal Whip Snake, Sword Fish, and Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon at his command. Above him were his two magicians floating in their pillars of light. They stood against Battleguard King showing no fear towards the giant. Ishijima, however, was left quite confused as to what just happened. He activated a comm unit in his duel disk connecting him to Nico Smiley. I focused another one of my powers to see what was being said.

Ishijima: "Three monsters at once? And that dragon is a level seven! He shouldn't have been able to summon such a high-level monster without a tribute! What's the meaning of this?"
