"Would you like to tell me why the hell you keep staring at me?" I snapped at him, and met his eyes through our sunglasses.
"I love when you say bad words to me, Alexis Jane," He grinned.
"How do remember my middle name?" Threw me off guard, again.
"C'mon say more. Say more bad words, Alexis Jane," He walked closer to me.
"Don't call me that," I laughed.
"I'll only stop when you give me what I want. I'm waiting, Alexis Jane," His hands found their way on to both of my hips and his knuckles dug into my skin.
"Oh my god! Shit! Landon stop! Stop!" I laughed.
We shifted over to the side of the street out of people's way and his knuckles only went farther into my side.
"Holy shit Landon!" My obnoxious laugh rang out and without it being under my control, a snort rang through my nose and I crumpled over in laughter.
Landon let go of me and laughed right along with me. My sunglasses fell off my face and I reached down to get them, but Landon's hand reached them at the same time as mine. His large hand covered mine and I felt my cheeks turn even more red than they already were from my laughing.
I slipped my hand away, watching as he picked them up and we stood up straight.
"Have I ever told you I love your laugh, and your snort?" his smile seemed suddenly brighter out in the sun.
"Thanks, don't you dare tickle me ever again you understand me?" I pointed my finger in his face and scrunched my nose.
"Yes mother," He tapped my nose and I smiled.
"Thank you for giving me what I wanted," he stepped close to me and slowly slid my sunglasses back on to my face.
I let out a deep breath and his eyes scanned over my face.
"Because you're beautiful, Alexis Jane," He whispered.
"What?"
I didn't mean to, but I leaned even closer to him trying to hear.
"You asked why I kept staring at you. It's because you're beautiful," He replied. Okay, it was time to go.
I gave his chest two pats, "If you say so Landy," I grinned and started to walk down the street.
About five minutes later we came to a building and I could hear the music vibrating through the ground. The lights weren't as bright as I thought they'd be and I could see the silhouettes through the windows.
"Is this like a club or something?" I questioned as we walked near the doors.
"If that's what you wanna call it," Landon shrugged and reached for the handle of the door. I stood back, staring at building.
"Coming?"
"Yeah... uh, I'm right behind you," I chewed on my bottom lip.
"Oh come on Lexi-."
"Lexi? What happened to Alexis Jane?" I crossed my arms.
He smiled at me and I almost fell over. Holy cuteness.
"Come on Alexis Jane. This is exactly what you need. This could be the first step to getting your outgoing charm back. Loosen up darling. Dance like a slut, drink some booze, find a hot douche and get laid," He winked.
"Haha, is that how you look at life? Well I don't dance like a slut, I don't drink, and I'm most certainly not getting laid," I shook my head.
"Why not? You scared of all the big bad party boys? I can hook you up, literally," He pulled the door open.
"No I'm okay. Let's get this over with, I'm already tired," I brushed past Landon and crossed the barrier into the world of sweaty bodied, hormonal teenagers.
The temperature rose by ten degrees once I stepped inside. Loud music rattled my insides and screams of excitement and laughter grew every second. Suddenly a smile grew on my face. Being around music and dancing instantly made me feel better.
"I knew you'd come around. Go have fun, beautiful, you deserve it," Landon gave my upper thigh a light slap and then disappeared into the crowd.
I smiled to myself and shrugged.
"Have fun, be stupid Lexi," I told myself.
I slowly raised both of my arms and squeezed my eyes shut. And just as I expected, sweaty hands reached out and pulled me into the crowd. I screamed and let the music completely take over me. I couldn't even tell who was around me but I started jumping, I threw both of my hands in the air and laughed at the ceiling. I had been in here no longer than three minutes and I was already having so much fun.
Some guy came up behind me and wrapped his arm over my shoulder and swayed his hips with me. Normally if some guy came up to me and randomly touched me, I'd probably punch him. But I didn't care. Not this time.
Some blonde girl came in front of me and grabbed one of my hands and danced with me. I wasn't sure why and it didn't make any sense, but I went along with it. For some reason I couldn't stop laughing. The blonde girl came closer to me and I could smell the beer in her breath.
"You're so pretty," She laughed.
I just smiled back and kept dancing. Then she leaned near my shoulder and kissed the guy who was dancing with me. That snapped me back into a reality a little and a laughed some more. I grabbed his arm and gave him a little shove off of me.
"Have fun you two."
If they wanted a threesome or something, that wasn't going to happen. I practically swam through the never-ending crowd until I came to the back section of the building, there was a bar and bathrooms and couches.
