An hour later, after Tessa, Bailey, Liz and I watched T.V, I went upstairs and showered and changed so we could go out for pizza. The whole time I thought about Jacob and Landon. Landon showing up at a time like this, really didn’t help the whole problem me and Jacob were having. Especially since Jacob was going with me. I pulled on a shirt and sighed.

I sat down on my bed and braided my bangs and put my hair in a ponytail. Then I heard a thud on my window and walked over to it. Jacob was sitting on a branch. I rolled my eyes and walked away.

“Lexi come on!” He begged.

I stopped and thought. I really wasn’t in the mood to talk to him, but at the same time I didn’t wanna leave him out there. I opened the window and he climbed in.

“What?” I asked.

“I know you don’t wanna talk to me so just let me do all the talking. You were right. I have no reason to get mad as you.” He said.

I sat down and stared at the floor.

“Out of all the crap I’ve pulled on you, I’m surprised you haven’t already broken up with me. My point is you did the right thing going to Ethan’s house. I don’t know why I thought you liked him, I guess I was just, scared of losing you to someone better.” He said.

I looked at him.

“You know Jacob, every time you screw something up, you have the same little speech prepared. And I’m kinda tired of hearing it. I’ve heard it way too much. I’m gonna tell you a little story."

"Back in middle school when Liz, Bailey, Tessa, and I went to that performing arts camp, there was this really hot guy there named Landon. And he had a crush on me. I liked him back but I knew I couldn’t go out with him over the summer. So now, this guy who is probably going to be a million times hotter than he was in 8th grade and a much better dancer, singer, and actor, is going to be at Birdsong."

"My guess is that he’s representing Dallas, so that means I’m gonna be forced to spend a lot of time with him. So I’m gonna say right now, if you think you’re gonna get jealous or piss me off in any way, then I recommend you stay home.” I said.

Jacob looked back at me and didn’t say anything. For a second I thought I had gone too far, but then I realized I hadn’t. I did exactly what I needed to, and if he got mad about it, then so be it.

“I think I will.” He said.

“What?” Total caught off guard moment.

I didn’t think he really would.

“You’re right Lexi, I’ve been a total jackass. I don't trust myself to not screw up. Not yet anyway. Go and have fun.” He gave me a small half smile then turned around.

I stood in shock and watched him go back to the window.

“Wait!” I said running over to the window.

(Well limping)

“So you’re ok with me going without you?” I asked.

He nodded.

“And you won’t be jealous or mad?” I asked.

“Nope.” He said.

I stared back into his gorgeous eyes and sighed.

“Promise me one thing though. Promise you won’t get another girlfriend, like Destiny.” I  said.

He smiled, “Promise me you won’t get another boyfriend, like Landon.” He smiled.
