Me, Benny, and Tony are talking in their living room when my father texts me to come back to the house cause he wants to "tell me something".
I was really only over here in the first place because I didn't want to be near him.
I was thinking that if I was careful with my position and his, that I wouldn't have to see him outside Jen's funeral which happened yesterday so I'm supposed to be in the clear.
I don't respond to the text but stand up which catches both their attention.
"Where you going?" Benny asks me.
"I've been asked to go back to my house." I answer.
"What does he want?" Tony asks, in reference to my father.
"He wants to tell me something." I tell them. "That's all I got."
"Can you come back after?" Benny pouts.
"No. I want to spend some real quality time with my father." I say sarcastically and Benny smiles at it. "I'll be back."
"Bye." they say in unison before I close the door and start walking across the street.
Benny's been doing a lot better recently.
He's not as mopey and I can tell he still misses her but that's never gonna go away for any of us.
For the first week or so, it was hard to think about her without tears but now we can talk about her with smiles. It's a big accomplishment for everyone but him especially.
He lost his mom. It's naturally harder for him.
When I walk into my house, I find my father sitting at the dinning room table.
"What do you need to tell me?" I ask as I shut the door.
He gestures for me to go over and sit with him so I do on the opposite side of the table.
"You remember... a while back... when I told you there was a possibility that I could get a job offer with the Yankees that we would have to move for?"
Shit.
"Yeah." I confirm.
"Well... it came through."
I don't say anything.
I just rest my head on my arms, closing my eyes.
"How long do I have?" I ask.
"I've been able to put it off long enough so that you can finish this school year. We'll have to move a few days after."
That's less than five months from now.
I know starting a fight with him will do more good than harm so I wordlessly stand up and walk out the door.

Benny's pov:
It didn't take Lily 15 minutes to come back.
Tony left for work not long after she did.
I don't know what they talked about but she doesn't look to happy about it. She looks zoned out and in a haze.
"You okay?" I ask, gaining her attention.
"Yeah." she says with a face saying other wise.
"Is everything else okay?"
"Uh... well... for now." she says with a shaky voice.
"What?" I ask, becoming worried.
I can see her have a mental debate with herself before she speaks again.

Normal pov:
"You remember when I told you about the possibility of me moving a while back?" I ask him, already answering his question.
He pauses for a minute and I can tell he's scared about what I'm about to confirm.
"Yeah." he says quietly.
"Well..." I drag out, letting him know it's happened.
He stands up from the couch and opens the front door mumbling a "I'll be right back" before walking out.
If he brings back a dead person... I'm not the one to blame.

Benny's pov:
I open the door to Yn's house to find her dad watching TV.
I slam the door and he flinches in surprise, looking back at me.
"Benjamin..." he uses my full name, "what can I help you with?"
"I'm sure you know about my relationship with your daughter. Let's cut the bullshit." I say with my anger increasing by the minute.
"I do." he states.
"You might think that what we have won't last long because we're only 16 but your daughter is the most important person in my life. She always has been. I know you plan on moving with the intention of taking her with you but that won't change anything. I will still be in love your daughter and the second I can leave and find her, I will. Don't doubt that."
"I'm curious... what are you attempting to do here? Intimidate me?" he asks.
"I'm only letting you know that I blame you for all of this and will continue to work for your daughter. I know you don't like me anymore than I like you but that doesn't change anything." I tell him.
"And why is that?"
"Because she hates you more."
My words seemed to shock him as he looks at me with wide eyes and stands from his seat.
Without giving him the satisfaction of continuing our argument, I walk out and head back to my own house.

Normal pov:
When Benny walks back in he's noticeably calmer than when he left.
"You good?" I ask him cautiously.
He walks up to me without answering and crashes hip lips onto my own.
It's gentle as it always has been but there's lust behind it. He's more eager than he usually is.
He pulls away, resting his forehead on my own.
"If you don't want to do this we don't hav-"
I interrupt him by bringing him back into me, holding him closer than I did the first time as he walks forwards so my back hits the wall.

Don't worry we were careful.
And it was honestly better than I was expecting it to be.
It was a new "experience" for the both of us and I couldn't be more grateful that it was with him.
He checked on me the whole time and made sure I was taken cared of.
After we had finished, we got dressed and are now laying together.
"Are you sure you're okay?" he asks me and I start laughing while burying my head in a pillow.
"I just want to make sure!" he defends while beginning to laugh with me.
I turn back to look at him with a big grin on my face.
"I'm okay." I reassure him.
He only smiles in response and leans in to kiss me as I meet him half way.
*One more chapter after this. I know I said two but I had the idea to make the previous one so the next one is the closing chapter for this book.*
