David was walking down Main Street with Henry

"So, what's on the agenda for Operation Scorpion?" the kid asked, excitedly

"What's Operation Scorpion?" asked David confused

"The code name for our mission to find Emma, Angie and Snow" Henry explained "Do you prefer viper? That was my second choice"

"Henry, we need to talk" David said, stopping

"Yeah, scorpion's better" Henry agreed

"No, it's not that" David said, looking over behind Henry and to the school bus stop

"I'm not coming with you" Henry realized when he saw the bus "But I, I thought we were going to find Jefferson?" Henry said confused

"I already did" David confessed

"What? Is he going to help us?" Henry asked

"No, Henry. He's not" the prince replied

"But why didn't you tell me you talked to him?" Henry wondered

"Because I didn't want to disappoint you" David said "I know you want to find your mom and aunt, but Jefferson can't help us. I need to find a way to restore the hat" he explained

"So, why can't I help look?" the kid insisted

"It'll require magic, Henry. And magic-"

"Always comes with a price" Henry cut of his grandfather "I've read the book; you know" he pointed out

"I'm sorry, but I just can't let you anywhere near this stuff" David said "If you really want to help me, you'll go to school where I know you'll be safe, okay?"

"Okay" Henry lied. He went over to the bus stop, but as soon as David turned around, he started running past it and kept going. He was going to talk to Jefferson himself.

Henry found Jefferson sitting on a bench by the docks. He was staring at a piece of paper with a drawing of him. His daughter was looking for him. When he saw Henry coming over, he folded the paper

"Jefferson, right?" Henry asked "The Mad Hatter? I need your help"

"Look, I already told your grandfather, I can't do anything" Jefferson said

"I know, but, there must be something we can do" Henry insisted

"I'm the wrong person to talk to, kid" Jefferson told him "Magic's not my thing. Ty your mother" he suggested "Maybe she's got something in that vault of hers she can help you with"

"Vault?" Henry repeated confused and surprised "Her vault is here? In Storybrooke?"

"It's none of my business. Talk to her" Jefferson repeated

"What's that?" Henry asked curiously, seeing the paper in the man's hands, who quickly put it in his pocket "Your daughter's looking for you, isn't she?" the kid realized

"What do you know about it?" Jefferson asked back

"I read your story, I know how the two of you were separated" Henry explained "Why are you here? She's at school"

"I've got to go home, kid" Jefferson said, getting up, but Henry go in his way "She probably wants to see you" he told the man

"Get out of my way" Jefferson told him

"Why aren't you trying to find her?" Henry insisted

"Because I left her!" Jefferson shouted, holding Henry's shoulders "And she'll hate me"

"How do you know that?" Henry asked

"I was on my way" Jefferson admitted "Fate reminded me I shouldn't" he said, thinking about how he had ended trapped in a car because of the wraith

"You should" Henry told him "I've been left too. Anything's better than nothing. She'll spend her whole life wondering why you left her. Not knowing is the worst" he said

Unable to convince Jefferson to help him, Henry decided to look for his mother's vault on his own. He called his mother and asked her to meet him for lunch so she'd leave the office and he could sneak in. She had been packing her things after being asked to resign as Mayor.

Henry quickly found the skull-keys and went to the cemetery. Once there, he used the book to locate the vault. When he was inside, he noticed the marks on the floor left by the moving sarcophagus and pushed in accordingly. He went down the stairs and came face to face with a wall containing heart boxes, which could clearly be heard beating inside. He started looking through the boxes, shelves and vials in one of the side rooms when a chest called his attention. He unlocked it using the skull-keys and slowly opened it, but the two-headed snake inside made him jump back, falling to the floor. Luckily, David arrived in that moment and closed the chest before the snake could get out

"Maybe we should've gone with Operation Viper" David said "You alright?"

"Yeah" Henry replied, still a bit breathless "How'd you know I was down here?"

"Your mom said you asked her to lunch and, when you stood her up, she checked her office, saw the keys missing, figured out the rest. She would've come herself, but she didn't think you'd go with her" David explained "Henry, what were you thinking?" he asked his grandson

"I just want them back" Henry replied "It wasn't supposed to be this way. I should be over there with them, riding horses, learning how to sword fight"

"I know. It's okay, because we're going to do this together. Come on now" David said, putting the chest back in its place "You got to get to school and I got to make sure no one else finds this place"

School was over and Jefferson, after thinking about what Henry had told him, walked over the school bus stop and called out his daughter's name, causing her to run to him happily and run to hug him.

Henry was watching this from across the street, sitting inside Emma's Bug, when David came by

"I've been thinking... if you're going to start helping me, we've got to make sure we do this right" he said "So I picked these up on my way home" he showed Henry the bag he was holding. Inside there were two wooden swords

"Seriously?" Henry asked, his whole face lighting up

"Yeah, you're the grandson of a price. I think it's about time you learned how to use a sword" David said "Henry, I can't get them back without you, so what do you say? You with me?"

"Can you teach me how to fight a dragon?" Henry asked excitedly

"We'll work our way up to it" David answered, opening the door so Henry could get out. He then took the swords out of the bag and kneeled, offering one to Henry "My liege. En garde!"

The started play-fighting on the street while Albert Spencer, known as King George back in the Enchanted Forest, watched them from inside his car across the street

Mr. Gold and Belle were in Gold's shop. He took out a box and opened it, revealing a necklace and offering it to Belle

After he clasped the necklace around her neck, they hugged, Belle thanking him for how much effort he was putting into changing, but the moment was interrupted by Grumpy

He demanded Gold to give him his axe back, claiming nothing in the shop really belonged to him. When he disrespected Belle, Gold grabbed him by the neck and pushed him against the wall

Belle tried to get him to stop, reminding him he wasn't like this anymore, but when he turned to her, he wasn't Gold anymore, he was Rumpelstiltskin

Belle woke up startled. She got out of bed and went downstairs. It was still dark outside, but she went out anyway. She walked around the house, Gold's house, and found the basement window. She looked inside and saw Gold spinning straw into gold at the spinning wheel. He cut a piece of it and put it in a vial, making its contents glow
