The Cricket Game - Part 1

Saturday afternoon, September 26

At Mary Margaret's apartment, her and David were in bed when Emma, Henry and Angie returned from shopping and interrupted them

"Hey, guess what: taco shells were on sale" Henry said as he entered the apartment

"Apparently tacos not a big item in the Enchanted-" Emma abruptly stopped, seeing her parents in bed

"Oh God" Angie whispered when she too saw the scene

"What are you guys still doing in bed?" Henry innocently asked, confused "It's the middle of the afternoon"

"The trip back was tiring and I needed to rest?" Snow said, although it sounded more like a question

"And I needed to... help her rest" David said

"Uh, let-let's go make the tacos" Emma told Henry, pushing him towards the kitchen "We have to make a lot because there's going to be a ton of people at Granny's 'welcome back' party tonight"

Once they were gone, Snow talked to Angie "We thought you were going to be back later" she whispered

"Yeah, well, it IS later" Angie pointed out "So maybe next time you could send a text or something. I'm going to... go help with the tacos now" she said, going to the kitchen and joining Emma and Henry

"It's impressive that we can still provide them with a few traumatic childhood memories at this stage of the game" David said, causing Snow to softly laugh. He gave her a kiss on the cheek and they got out of bed

Later that night, the citizens of Storybrooke had gathered at Granny's Diner for the celebration. As the Charming family entered everyone cheered and Ruby rushed towards Mary Margaret for a hug

"I wasn't worried a bit" Ruby told her friend

"I can tell" Snow chuckled

"Oh, we all missed you" Archie said, hugging Angie

"We missed you guys too" she replied

Meanwhile, Emma gave Granny a tray of tacos

"Tacos" the blonde announced "I cannot tell you the relief of cooking something that I didn't have to kill first" she said

"Don't I know it" Granny agreed "Meat loaf back home? What a bitch"

David clinked his beer jar, getting everyone's attention, and proceeded to make a toast "I just wanted to, uh, thank you all for joining us tonight. Mary Margaret and I, we have a saying: that we will always find each other. And, while I believe that with all my heart, I'd like you all to raise your glasses and join me when I say: here's to not having to look for a while" he said, making everyone laugh "To Mary Margaret, Emma and Angie!" he finished

As everyone clinked glasses, Regina entered with a casserole dish

"Sorry I'm late" she smiled sheepishly

Leroy grabbed a knife defensively "What is she doing here?" he angrily asked

"Angie and I invited her" Emma replied. After Angie's comment earlier that day, Emma had gone to talk to Archie about inviting Regina and he had agreed, so Emma had stopped by her house and extended the invitation

After hearing this information, Snow took Emma and Angie to the side along with David

"We're celebrating today because of Regina" Angie said, defending her decision to invite Regina

"She did help us get home" Emma agreed

"No matter what she did in the past, we owe her our thanks now" Angie said
