At Regina's house, Cora and Regina were conversing. Regina was upset that Henry was gone and Cora was attempting to comfort her. Hook joined them and learnt that Gold had also left town. He wanted to go after him since he wouldn't lose his memories because he hadn't been a victim of the curse, but Cora had other plans. She wanted to look for the Dark One's Dagger.

In New York, Emma, Henry, and Gold had finally arrived at their destination. They stepped out of the taxi and entered the apartment building in front of them. As they read the list of names on the intercom, Emma found one listed only by number and assured Gold that was his son's. She buzzed the intercom with the excuse of delivering an U.P.S. package, but the person on the other side hung up. The trio heard noise coming from upstairs and rushed outside just in time to see the man from the apartment climb down the fire escape and run

"That, that favour you owe me. This is it" Gold told Emma "Get him to talk to me. I, I can't run"

"Watch Henry. I'll be back" Emma replied before running after the man

She chased after him through the streets and managed to ambush him by circling around the opposite side of a building. She tackled him, both of them falling to the ground and when Emma looked back up, she froze

"No" she said softly "Neal?"

"Emma?" Neal asked stunned as they both got up "I don't understand. What are you doing here?" he asked her

"What am I doing here?" Emma repeated

"Yeah" Neal said

"I'm not answering anything until you tell me the truth. Are you Gold's son?" Emma asked him, starting to panic

"What are you talking about? Who's Gold?" Neal asked confused

But Emma wasn't listening to him, too caught up in her own panic "You played me. You're from there. You played me, and he played me, you both played me"

"Whoa, whoa, whoa. Okay" Neal tried to calm her down

"You and Gold" Emma continued

"Emma, slow down. What are you talking about? Who's Gold?" Neal repeated

"Your father" Emma all but shouted "Rumpelstiltskin"

Neal became serious then "He's here?" he asked

"Why else would I be in New York?" Emma replied

"You brought him to me?! Why would you do that?!" Neal shouted

"Hey! I am the only one allowed to be angry here!" Emma shouted back "Did you know who I was, where I was from, the whole time? Was this just some sort of sick, twisted plan? Did-did you even care about me at all?" she asked

"Emma, do not-" Neal tried to speak, but Emma wasn't done

"I want to know! I want the truth. All of it!!" she continued

"Fine!!" Neal shouted, ending Emma's rumbling "We, we got to get off the street. We can't do it here. We're out in the open. I... I spent a lifetime running from that man. I'm not going to let him catch me" he said "There's a bar down the street. We can talk there"

"I am not drinking with you. Whatever you're going to tell me, tell me now" Emma refused

"No, bar's better" Neal insisted "Don't worry. You can keep yelling at me when we get there" he said, walking towards the bar
