~~~~~
Both you and Kuroko recently moved in together.
For the past few days, you've been wondering what Kuroko has been doing. He just came in and out of a room, hauling boxes of your things into there.
You didn't exactly know what was in the boxes, but he was just pulling them in there.
He didn't allow you to enter either.
One time you came to hand him some morning coffee in the room and check up on what he was doing. But, he told you not to come in and wait there. He then came out and greeted you a good morning kiss, taking the coffee and thanking you. Then heading back in, closing the door.
Another time, you tried sneaking in there while Kuroko was asleep, but turns out Nigou was guarding the door. Barking and alerting the sleepy Kuroko. In the end, you didn't get to see what was in the room.
You made sure Kuroko was downstairs by leaning over the railing, busy reading newspaper. You took this as a chance.
You showed Nigou - who was guarding the door - a treat and threw it into another room. Yosh! That should keep him busy for a bit!
You twisted the doorknob, it was left unlocked.
You slowly creaked the door open, trying to make as minimal of a sound as possible. Before you could see anything, your eyes were covered with a hand as you felt an arm wrapped around your waist. Hearing a click, telling you the door was closed.
Dammit.
You turned around and puffed your cheeks at Kuroko, crossing your arms over your chest. "It isn't nice to snoop through my things, (First Name)-san." he slightly frowned, his arms also crossed.
"But, this is my house too, Tetsuya. I wanna know what's in there." you stomped, leaning in towards the slightly taller male. His frown slowly turned into a smile.
"I'll show you then," he planted a butterfly kiss on your forehead and held your hand. "but, promise me you'll close your eyes." You nodded and opened a slight crack in your eyes. He then covered them.
"God dammit." you cursed under your breath.
You felt him guide you towards the door, hearing it creak. You felt your stomach flutter anxiously as he breathed against your ear. "You can open your eyes now," he removed his hand from over your eyelids.
You slowly cracked open each, revealing dangling photos from off of the ceiling, pictures posted randomly on the walls and on the furniture. Practically a fully decorated room with pictures.
Though, it just wasn't any pictures. It was pictures of the moments you and Kuroko were together.
Picnics, strolls, basketball games and etc.
All the times you spent happily together.
You turned back to Kuroko, happy as ever, "Tetsuya, this is---" you were cutoff by Kuroko's shocking action.
"(First Name)-san," he started and kneeled down on one knee. "the first time I met you was in high school," he looked up at you, "I instantly fell in love with you," he smiled, "the way you laughed, the way you smiled." he confessed, "Your personality is wonderful and has no limits." he took a deep breath, "So, I wonder if you'll say yes." he sighed out. "Will you marry me?"
Your cheeks burned at his small proposal speech.
He waited a few more seconds before things got awkward.
You nodded as pre-tears of joy filled the corner of your eyes. You covered your mouth and smiled. "Yes, of course, Tetsuya." he straightened up as you jumped and wrapped your arms around his neck. "I couldn't ask for anything better than being your wife."
|| Wedding ||
You walked down the aisle, arm in arm with your father who was proud of you and his new son-in-law. You smiled so gently down the aisle, it could make anyone's heart just melt.
Though, that smile was only for one person.
Kuroko smiled excitedly, but in his expression it didn't show. His smile belonged to you.
As you got to the steps, you took Kuroko's hand and stepped up.
"We are gathered together on this beautiful afternoon to share with (First Name) and Tetsuya as they exchange vows of their everlasting love. Who gives this woman to be married to this man?"
"Her mother and I." Your father placed your hand in Kuroko's and sat down.
"As (First Name) and Tetsuya take their vows today, we are privileged to witness the joyous love of a new family -- a family that will be nourished and nurtured through the devotion of two separate individuals growing together through the common bonds of love." The priest paused.
"May their marriage bring them the peace, joy, comfort and contentment that is known in the hearts of all God's children. And may Tetsuya and (First Name) both look forward to each new season of their marriage --- just as the world looks forward to each new season of the year. For all seasons bring with them their own special moments and memories." The priest took a breath.
"An essential requirement of a good marriage is a strong bond of real friendship and trust. (First Name) and Tetsuya, your love for each other will grow deeper with every passing day, but it's important to remember that your love stands on a foundation of genuine, mutual affection and respect for each other. To truly LOVE another person is to be willing to accept both their strong points, and their weak points, with equal measures of understanding and respect." Kuroko shot a happy smile you've never seen before, his smile reached his cheeks.
"The vows you are about to exchange, will serve as a verbal representation of the non-verbal emotions that are as real as any thing that can be seen, heard or touched. For it is not the words that you will speak today that will bond you together as one --- but the strength of the love and commitment found deep within your souls." The priest spoke accordingly, taking a breath and looking at you two.
"At this time, I'll ask you, Tetsuya, and you, (First Name), to face each other & take each other's hands." You placed your hand in his, fitting perfectly as if it was meant to be in his.
"Tetsuya, will you take (First Name) to be your wife, your partner in life and your one true love? Will you cherish her friendship and love her today, tomorrow and forever? Will you trust and honor her, laugh with her and cry with her? Will you be faithful through good times and bad, in sickness and in health as long as you both shall live?" Kuroko nodded and smiled, exchanging looks with you, "I do."
"(First Name), will you take Tetsuya to be your husband, your partner in life and your one true love? Will you cherish his friendship and love him today, tomorrow and forever? Will you trust and honor him, laugh with him and cry with him? Will you be faithful through good times and bad, in sickness and in health as long as you both shall live?" You sniffled and wiped a tear, "Sorry," you took a deep breath and beamed a smile, "I do."
The priest nodded, "You may now kiss the bride."
