"I like you, (First Name)-chan."
There is nothing else running through your mind at the moment than the sudden confession you received from the school's heartthrob.
You were turned, your fingers laced together as your elbows were resting upon the wooden desk you were seated at. You blinked a couple of times as the girls around all whined in disbelief and sadness.
"You're not in love with me, so stop making me think you are."
Constantly having to wake yourself up from a nightmarish love that you felt that the only thing to be gained was a pure heart to break.
You turned away and focused your attention to the front of the classroom, ignoring the heartthrob that broke some girls' hearts in a matter of seconds.
"If I don't like you, would I do this?" Your wrist was grabbed as Himuro came down to your level, his lips mere centimetres apart. As his lips came closer, your could hear his breaths become heavier.
You brought your index finger to his lips, stopping him from carrying out his antics further.
"Sorry, pretty boy. That cliché kind of thing doesn't work on me." You gave a sad smile. He released your wrist and backed away, a disappointed frown worn on his poker face.
|| Days Later ||
You went ahead and packed up your things, hurrying to your next class as there was only five minutes until the next class started. It wasn't easy being on the third floor and then running down to the basement to get changed into your gym clothes, then running back up the stairs to the gymnasium while having numerous crowds of slow people in your way.
[Trust me, it's not.]
As you left the class, you still had some of your textbooks held in your arms, trying to hurry. But as you were going, of course you had to bump into someone and drop your things. You looked up and saw the same person who tried to kiss you a few days back.
He knelt down and started picking up your things. It took you a moment to realized and drop to help him. You frantically started to pick your things up as you knew you had a short amount of time left.
His hand brushed over yours a few times while picking them up. As you stood up, you thanked Himuro as he gave you a sweet smile, "You should be more careful next time, (First Name)-chan."
"But, it's not my fault you were just standing there when you knew I was coming out."
[omg he's a stalker]
He gave you a gesture and look that said: "good point".
|| The Next Day ||
You jogged down the hall to the guidance office to drop of your hours. The paper was folded up in your pocket as you did light-jogging, pacing yourself as you knew if you had jogged there, you would be panting a little too much.
"(First Name)-chan, I think you dropped this."
[HE'S EVERYWHERE, BUT I WOULDN'T MIND BECAUSE HE'S SEXY.]
You looked back for a moment and saw Himuro standing in the middle of the hall with a smile, holding up your folded paper.
"Oh," you walked back towards him and took it, "thanks, Himuro-kun..." Since the dude was everywhere, constantly doing generous things for you, and to you, you did feel something different either than the day he said, "I like you, (First Name)-chan."
Your cheeks burned a little as he nodded,
"Somehow...you're always there."
"What can I say? You're always here."
|| A Week Later ||
It was the end of the day, you grabbed your things from you locker. Sighing as you noticed it was raining out, and you didn't have an umbrella because you didn't expect the rain from all the "shine" in the morning.
You stood there and pursed your lips to the side, feeling a tap on your shoulder.
"Don't have an umbrella?" You nodded to Himuro, knowing he was always there, there was a part of you that expected him to be there.
"We can share," he opened his umbrella and put it over you two, walking out onto the wet and puddled pavement.
You knew the reason why for all his actions and words, you didn't want to believe it.
You didn't want to believe that he liked you.
You didn't want to believe yourself.
You didn't want to believe you were finally falling for him.
"Himuro-kun...are you really sure?" You asked quietly, but he heard you. He looked down and came to a stop, tilting his head a bit as his poker face was on.
[Po-po-po-poker face, po-po-poker face.]
"Sure about what, (First Name)-chan?"
"That you...like me?"
Being damaged makes you think, it makes you feel like there's no hope in something for you. It makes you scared, it makes you worry, it makes you stressed.
Himuro could tell by your voice, the way your voice was shaking and quiet. He could tell by your look, you wouldn't even dare to look at him as your eyes were kept down, looking at the ground.
"Yes, there's not a single day that I will stop loving you, (First Name)-chan. You don't have to worry anymore, you don't have to cry yourself to sleep. I will be there to hold you tight, when you want to be by yourself when you're down about yourself, I will hold you and kiss you, telling you how much you mean to me, how much you mean the world to me." He suddenly confessed, lowering his face towards yours.
This time instead of ignoring his actions, you allowed him. That's when a flame ignited inside of you. That's when you spent your first kiss in the rain as the umbrella was forgotten. That's when you were held so close, you felt like you were going to melt. That's when...you knew you didn't stop loving forever.
