You and Akashi had been wedded for four years now, and slowly, you felt that you two had been drifting apart. He was getting more and more drawn into his work each day, stressed and all. But, you too, had been getting more and more drawn into being a/n (Desired Job).

You sat there at your desk, writing reports/orders/etc., your hand tangled in your messy hair as you became stressed from the lack of sleep you've been having. Not to mention having your man by your side as you were tired as hell, needing someone to lean on and to have someone behind you.

"Mrs.(First Name), dinner is ready." One of the butlers knocked on the door as he stood aside, awaiting your approval.

"Yeah...I'm coming..." You stood up groggily, rubbing your eyes as you swayed back and forth, making your way out the door.

"Mrs.(First Name), you look exhausted. If you need help, you should ask for it. I would gladly help you if you need." He offered, you swatted the air, brushing out his idea, "It's okay...I can do it."

You flashed a smile of reassurance, but in your butler's eyes, he didn't see the reassurance. All he saw was your life's fire slowly burning out, exhausted.

He led you to the dining room where you weren't even accompanied by anyone, not even Akashi. He had not been coming home early or on time lately, he had been arriving late, when you were asleep. Heck, you don't even wake up to him.

He's not here...

You honestly felt the connection between you two; the red string of fate, fraying, becoming tangled. After all, the red string never can break, but what happens if it tangles and frays?

You finished your dinner and helped tidy up, even though your maids and butlers told you to get rest, you refused and helped out anyways.

|| Hours Later ||

You heard the front door click as Akashi walked in, a worn out expression on his face as he loosened his tie and placed down the briefcase he held in his right hand.

His eyes met yours for a moment before he closed them again, a brief sigh escaping his soft lips.

"Hello, (First Name)."

Not even a,  "Do you know how much I missed you?", a "Sorry, I'm late.", a "I'm home, I'm sorry I took so long. I love you."

Akashi stepped forward and stopped, hearing a, "Do you know what time it is...?" Your voice was full of hurt, no words could express the pain in the silence that was drawn out between you two at the moment.

He stared at you blankly and blinked a couple of times before extending out his arm and whipping it back to him, carefully watching as the seconds arm was ticking, passing the minutes and hours arm.

"It's...two o' clock, why are you still-"

"I feel like there's lack of connection between us two, I can't even think properly right now. When I go to sleep, you aren't there," your head was lowered and facing the ground, "when I'm awake, you aren't there," warm tears trickled down to the ground, "when I need you the most...you aren't there..." Your fists clenched at your sides.

"What are you trying to say?" His gaze didn't falter, but inside, he knew where this was going.

I'm alone.

I'm not fine.

I'm in pain.

I'm dying.

I'm crying.

It's excruciating how much it hurts.

"Please...take what's yours and leave..." Though you knew all the things you had was all made possible by him, it wasn't like you weren't wealthy, you were. But, the respect, acknowledgement, the stage in life - was all made possible because of him.

You hated to say it.

Please say something.

Don't just stand there.

I need you to hold me.

I'm so stressed.

I need you to love me.

You covered your face, slowly falling to your knees as you bawled your eyes out. Not feeling comfort, but discomfort. Your true weakness bouncing off the walls as the noises came back to you.

You felt something touch your waist and hoist you up and over it's shoulder.

Knowing, "Let me go! What are you...doing?" Your useless shouts grew dim as replaced by sobs, grabbing onto his expensive tuxedo.

Akashi walked out the door with you on his shoulder.

"You told me to take what is mine and leave."

~~~~~
I'm still so upset. I need Akashit to comfort me. ;w;
