Message from Unknown Number:

Unknown (2:42PM): I didn't know.

Mahogany stopped walking when her phone chimed, pausing to pull it out of her pocket with a frown on her face which deepened once she read the text that came from an unknown number.

Who is this?

Not even a second later she got a response that told her exactly who it was:

Unknown (2:44PM):I got your number from Adriel. I didn't realize that you really didn't know what you found.

Now, her face scrunched up in distaste as she typed out a response from where she stood in the middle of the driveway. Her purse started to slip from her shoulder, so with a shrug, she adjusted it again before resuming the task at hand.

I told you that I didn't know tho.

Again, his response was immediate.

Orion (2:44P: I didn't believe you.

With a scoff, Mo slid her phone back into her pocket, and climbed into her car, and proceeded to head for the grocery store to pick up some things. She hadn't thought about Orion since she'd woken up, but now that her mind was on him, her wolf, who had been quiet all day seemed to wake up. She wasn't whining yet, but her interest had been piqued.

She'd been in a pleasant mood all day, but now, Mo found herself fighting irritation.

She was on her way back home when her phone vibrated again.

She glanced at it from where it was mounted to her dashboard and pulled over after reading his text.

Orion (3:57 PM): I'm sorry.

Mo tapped the contact that she'd saved when he told her that it was him, then selected the option to call and pulled off the shoulder to continue her drive home.

"Hello."

"Why the fuck did you decide to text me?" She snapped, skipping the greeting and getting straight to the point. There was no need for formalities by that point. She didn't like him.

There was silence on the other end for a moment before he sighed, then groaned before speaking, "They... they kept telling me that I was wrong. My wolf did too. I've known for a minute now, but they were right."

"So now what? I'm supposed to accept a text apology and we'll be on good terms now?"

Now, Orion was becoming agitated as well. She could hear it all in his voice and he let out a low, long groan before he spoke again, "I don't fuckin' know Chaos. I just thought I should say it. I lost my fucking mind on you for what I now know was no reason and I keep thinking about it. How you were crying."

Yeah, how she was standing in the rain sopping wet and bare footed, completely confused because she was just happy to be out of that damned house.

Those emotions came over her again and she felt her eyes welling up even with all the effort that she was putting in to stop that from happening. That moment was the worst one for her. She hated everything about it, and could say that her feelings had never been so hurt before. Orion calling her a monster was a very, very close second, but, that moment in the woods topped it because she'd felt like a child who had just gotten into the most trouble ever with the most extreme ass whooping to follow and no knowledge as to what they'd done with no explanation after said ass whooping was handed to her.
