Hey guys, here you go as promised, it's short, but a little more insight into my latest psychopath's mind. Enjoy!

Adriel was making it no secret that he was trailing his alpha. Orion didn't bother to even acknowledge his second in command. He wasn't in the mood, and Adriel knew that. Orion didn't care about the reason why his beta was trailing him like that pup had when he'd left the pack to find Chaos so many months ago.

The second that he cleared the woods and found himself in the same empty area that she had found right before she left three weeks ago, he was seeing her how he'd seen her that last day.

He'd watched her for ten minutes from a good enough distance that she wouldn't be able to detect him. She'd been nodding off to sleep, and he'd almost forgotten why he'd followed her after realizing that they could leave the house. The moon had let them out of the house right after his mate had given him his sleep back, and while Orion had been napping, she'd snuck out. Orion had woken up minutes later to see where she was going.

Three weeks ago, when he'd found her and let his anger take over, let loose his rage and all the animosity that had been boiling in between the two. Her already big eyes were the size of saucers as he'd yelled at her, and even though he knew that she knew why the fuck that he was mad, Chaos was a good actress, and she looked so confused. As she looked up at him, brows furrowed, those delicious lips of hers slightly parted... Orion had never been so angry and so turned on by.... Okay he had, but it was always because of her.

He still hadn't realized that she really had no clue what the hell he was going on about until she'd left home. She was crying. Had been since she'd come from the woods. Since he'd yelled at her. He really hadn't cared. She always pushed his buttons, but wanted to cry when he finally snapped? How in the fuck did that make sense?

Still pissed beyond words because of what she'd done, Orion had listened to her cry as she showered for what felt like forever, and then the second that he knew that she was in the bed and on the way to sleep, he'd had some of the pack start howling. Chaos wanted to fuck with him? Two could play at that game.

She'd started crying again, and finally the guilt kicked in. He'd been pissed at her, and had used his wolves to get back at her. She'd sobbed as she moved around her room, and Orion could just picture her lying in the bed with her hands over her ears like she did when she was trying to block them out. He still didn't understand how exactly someone who was part wolf was scared of howling. He hadn't been getting them to do so one purpose from the go. The first night back home with her, the howling was a sound of morning. Other times the pups were being taught by older wolves, but after she'd really pissed him off the first time, Orion had started to orchestrate the sounds because he knew how much they scared her. Some nights he wanted to go grab her from her bed and hold her to his chest as he calmed her because he knew he was wrong and sometimes he felt culpable, but for the most part, he didn't really care.

Adriel and Gianni had tried to get to her to see what the problem was but the entrance to her hall was still charmed, and once they realized they were all no longer locked in the house by the Moon, Gianna had gone home while Adriel stayed back, the traitor, probably just to protect his Luna.

It hadn't clicked for Orion that she was leaving until Chaos asked for Adriel's keys and she'd said goodbye to her beta before leaving. Thank the Moon.

And she'd been gone since then.

"Orion, you're losing your fucking mind. You can't dig up your dead father."

He paused, still looking at the empty space in front of him as he thought about Chaos, glanced behind him when Adriel spoke, "I don't care. She found him. Nobody is supposed to find him, hell, no one from the pack has found any of them and it's been three fucking years. I don't want this piece of shit found again by her or anyone else. There's a reason he's ten feet under."

Adriel was unfazed, "Okay. Fine. Let's say you actually do dig up that disgusting piece of shit... then what happens after that? Where are you going to put him?"

Orion shamelessly answered, "I haven't thought that far ahead."

In the end, Adriel wound up convincing Orion to leave that waste of decomposing flesh where he was, but even though he was no longer going to dig him up-Orion still wanted to, but he wouldn't- He'd given the Beta his word.

Now, the Alpha and Beta were sitting in the living room watching TV.

Ever since Chaos had given him his sleep back, he'd go to bed exhausted and wake up exhausted. His body had gotten used to the sleep that she was depriving him of. It was taking everything in Orion to stay awake.

Orion also knew that he was so exhausted because she was gone. The house was empty, and all that he was doing was work. Pack members had finally stopped coming over after not seeing their alpha for damned near six months, and he knew there were questions because he knew that his pack members could still pick up her scent; it was everywhere, and when they picked up on the scent they'd curiously look at him because he'd never had a woman around the pack. They were trying to piece together what was happening because there'd obviously been a woman there, but now she was gone, Orion wasn't offering any answers, and she wasn't a full wolf. Mariah, one of the elders and the only pack member to meet her kept her mouth shut about what she saw at the house and how their Alpha's mate was something that they'd never seen again in a show of loyalty to her luna. His lips twitched into a proud smirk for a moment and then it was gone again. That would happen sometimes.

Adriel's voice pulled Orion out of his own musings, and he looked over at him when he spoke.

"You know she calls me, right?"

Orion nodded as irritation started to build up within him. He hated talking about her, but Adriel wouldn't shut the fuck up even if his leader told him to, so there was no need to make a fuss about it.

"Well I spoke to her a few hours ago. She's back at home, and she sounded happy. Said her brother is-"

"I don't give a fuck. I didn't as how she was. I didn't ask if she was happy to be home. I do't give a fuck about her brother. She's a fucking terrorist. You bring her up in front of me again and that'll be the last time that you'll have to privilege to speak with all of your teeth in your fucking mouth."

"Fine, even though I know you're so pissy because her shit is still her in her room and her scent is everywhere. It's so strong I almost thought she had come back until I remembered I'd spoken to her today. What exactly did you do to her?"

Orion scoffed, and glared at the action movie that was playing on the TV, "I yelled at her."
