Ruined.
She'd fucking ruined me. And I liked it.
Wanted it.
Craved it. Desperately. I craved it how she craved my blood, and I'd known it for a while, but what happened in the car when that perfect feeling of being wrecked and totally accepting it with open arms knocked down that last little wall I had up.
It fucking broke me.
That I love you came out and I didn't even care to stop it because she already knew, but I had to bite back a prayer to a deity that I never worshipped or respected. I wanted to thank that monster for Her. All those times I told Mahogany not to call for Her, and she'd said it to me one time and it finally clicked. Split me in two.
This woman that I was inside of, feeling every single part of me was what that floating rock could never be. She was my fucking God. And I didn't have a single problem with that.
That couldn't be healthy.
And I think Mahogany knew it too. It was all in those scarily expressive eyes.
That did something to me, too; knowing that she knew what she did to me and didn't bother trying to hide it.
I sat next to Hoggie, body stiff. Jaw clenched. Hands balled into fist. Like I was about to bolt.
We'd been in Tobiah's living room for a couple of hours. I hated how at home she was, how friendly and attentive my mate was like I wasn't fighting for my fucking life In A way I'd never done before.
I didn't give a fuck about my friends in that moment.
Didn't give a damn about the pack.
Didn't give a damn about Martín in the way that I was supposed to.
I didn't give a damn about his pack members trying to escape his grasp.
All I wanted- needed- was the violence. I wanted to tear him apart. I was bloodthirsty because the motherfucker lied on me, but also because of this new feeling that wasn't really new that I had for my mate.
It was overtaking me, consuming me and I actually liked it, but it was also overwhelming me. It was too intense. I needed to feel something else at least for a little while.
Let it remind me of what I was supposed to be taking care of.
That only lasted for a second.
Then my mind was back on her.
Will, Richie, Gianni, my Chaos, and Tobiah droned on. The guys were shooting me knowing looks.
Chaos was oblivious and I couldn't tell if it was an act or not because she knew what she did to me and she lived to drive me absolutely insane.
I let out a sharp, low breath, tried to drag my fingers through my hair, but she'd put it up before we left home.
Mo didn't even look at me when she reached over and rested her hand against my thigh. My fists unclenched. My jaw didn't though.
Focus.
She didn't even speak through our link, but I knew what the squeeze she delivered to my thigh meant. So I did as she told me without even opening her mouth.
Tobiah was giving an update on the displaced members of Martín's pack.
They were scared. Terrified.
There wasn't just one omega like we all thought.
There were four. They were all under 20. All girls with the youngest being 15.
