When Orion said that there were a lot of questions on the transfer form, he wasn't lying.
He asked her full name, the name of her coven, which was Black Lake, how long the group had existed, who the leader was, how large the coven was, and about a million other questions.
"Mother's and father's name?"
"Here just hand the laptop over and I'll fill it out, I'm getting bored."
"I've got it, Chaos. If you start writing, then... then, it's going to bother me that the knowing that there could still be mistakes because your mind is everywhere?"
That excuse was bullshit. Mo told himself. Orion hummed, waited a moment, then asked, "The names of your mother and father, please?"
"Mackenna and Raquel Harlowe."
"Mother's maiden name?"
"Winston."
"No biological siblings."
Orion stated that one as he already knew the answer. He typed in that answer as he spoke, drawing out the words as he wrote them. He was focused on what he was doing. There was a frown of concentration on his face, his brows furrowed as he focused on his work. He looked handsome.
When he glanced up before asking the next question, his eyes caught Mahogany's eyes, which were still locked on him. His gaze traveled down her body, from the pink spaghetti strapped crop top, down to the grey sweats that she'd still had on from earlier when they went into town. When he looked back up-not to her face, but to her chest-she bit her lip, and leaned back into the couch, silently inviting her mate to move closer. Orion looked back down at the sleek, grey laptop that he was gripping in his hands, then back to Mo once again. She was still reclined, her eyes hooded as the lust she had been ignoring damned near all day came back to the forefront with a vengeance. To say that Orion looked conflicted was an understatement.
"We gotta finish this, Chaos."
"I know, I know," She muttered, "I wish you had wanted to do this yesterday or tomorrow."
"It definitely wouldn't have gotten done yesterday, which is why I didn't say anything."
He was right. Still she asked, "What about tomorrow?"
"We're doing it, now, Mahogany." He said it in that way that he'd talked to Adriel and Gianni when he was very, very serious. It was in the way that had them shutting their mouths and doing what they were told. Mo found herself wanting to submit, and the wolf in her was quiet, but their feelings were united in that moment.
Both Mo and her wolf enjoyed the way he had just spoken to her. Orion seemed to sense this, and groaned as he scooted away from her, putting a little more distance between the two as he said, "You're killing me. We have to finish this so I can send it off, Chaos. I'm not explaining to the elite that I didn't finish the paperwork because my mate was insatiable."
She didn't argue this time, just let out a frustrated groan of her own. She was having trouble focusing, now.
They were thirty minutes into his inquiring when Mo started to fully lose interest as she answered his questions.
"Birthday?"
"November twenty sixth. Are you still mad at me?"
"No...You're twenty one years old. What's your rank?"
