🐺
Of course she made friends with Alpha Kita. Fuck the friendship- that didn't bother me. My alpha female was the opposite of me- always happy, always smiling, winning people over.
I was fucking jealous, watching and listening to Chsos and Kita as they appeared and reappeared around her territory.
When I told her I wanted to go, she wouldn't let me. I was a fucking distraction.
Yet here Gianni and I stood, listening to them giggle like schoolgirls.
"You tell her yet?"
Gianni was leaning against his truck, looking as happy as he always did.
I only nodded, face still twisted up like an angry toddler. I leaned back next to him.
"What did she say?"
"She said she knew," I chuckled lowly.
"Of course she did."
I switched to the link at the same time that I blocked her from my mind, You've talked to Adriel?
Now my best friend was the one nodding, I have. Sounds like he's drowning. We've gotta get back home ASAP.
I nodded again, eyes narrowed as Mo and Kita appeared almost a mile away. They were only quite long enough for Mo to do the spell. Intrigued, I watched her drop to one knee with the bundle of herbs she had in her hand just like when she did the ward at home, sans our blood, Kita's and her chain of command instead.
I had to set a command- no one was to contact me in any form about the Luna.
I asked Gianni and Adriel if they wanted me to add them in to that, but they hadn't. They knew someone would need to handle it until we came back home, and I was grateful my men thought like that.
What are they saying?
Gianni groan, tipping his head back with his eyes closed, They're confused, excited....upset. They've put two and two together about the Luna staying in Warren's old house. They know the scent that clings on you now. They're worried because she isn't a full wolf. They're worried that she could be the next Lacey.
Jaw clenched right at that last sentence, I stayed silent. Just nodded. I understood the fear, but i never wanted to hear the former Luna's name in the same sentence as his mate's.
Lila and Celeste haven't said a word.
Good. They're good women, I don't wanna kill them.
Gianni nodded.i figured they'd love her, still think that, but we never thought about them being wary about her because of the old Luna.
The old Luna is dead, and she's gonna stay dead.
I know. They'll see when they meet her, Gianni sighed, his eyes on Hoggie and Kita, watching the pair disappear, then reappear about twenty feet away, still facing inside the territory, "Okay, last one. After this you'll know when anyone enters your territory.
I don't know what rune my mate drew into the ground, but it glowed a light blue for a moment. Then, just as it did when she completed the spell on our pack lands, that orb appeared in the distance, expanding with the muted shockwave before it was gone and Kita, her beta Dion, and gamma Sam all were glowing with a light blue hue just like we had.
The vehicles were packed. We said goodbye to Tobiah and his people this morning before making the two hour drive south to Alpha Kita's.
Once our goodbyes were said there, we piled into the car. It was 5AM on the dot the minute we pulled off.the sky was dark, that blue-black that felt heavy and endless.
