It wasn't long until the wedding arrived, and everyone got changed into their outfits.
Since Lucy was the maid of honour, her and Sloane got ready together. And they planned to head downstairs, once everyone else had arrived.
Sloane's white dress was simple, but very elegant. She had done a good job making it, in such a short space of time.
Lucy's dress was dark blue, and covered in stars and moons, to reflect Luther's obsession with space.
Even though Lucy wasn't really a dress person, she loved her outfit.

Lucy and Sloane headed down in the lift together, and joined the rest of their family downstairs.
The ceremony was taking place outside in the courtyard, which had been decorated beautifully for the event.
Klaus was acting as the wedding officiant, and Viktor was Luther's best man.
The rest of the family was sat either side of the aisle, watching the ceremony with happy, but also sad, looks on their faces. As they all knew the world would be ending very soon, so Luther and Sloane wouldn't get long together.

Once the ceremony was over, everyone headed inside for a few dances, before moving into the dining room, where the white chairs and tables had been set out, beside a large buffet and open bar.
Despite there not being many of them, the siblings all decided to sit as far apart as possible, while they ate their food.
Luther and Sloane shared a table, as did Allison and Ben, and Lila and Diego.
But everyone else sat at their own tables.
Lucy wasn't happy that her family was so fractured, and couldn't even get on for one day. But she knew why her family was that way, so she made no attempt to correct this.

But just because the rest of her family was content to be alone, Lucy was not.
So, she picked up her plate and went to join Viktor at his table.
"Hiya, best man" smiled Lucy.
"Hey. I was shocked when Luther asked me, since the two of us have never gotten along. I was certain he would ask Diego to be his best man" admitted Viktor.
"Luther is a changed man now, which is probably why he chose you. And trust me, I was just as shocked as you were, when Sloane asked me to be her maid of honour" replied Lucy.

"You look amazing by the way" complimented Viktor.
"Thanks. You don't look too bad yourself... You look so much happier, now that you're able to wear a suit to a wedding, if you know what I mean" replied Lucy.
"I never would have felt comfortable wearing your dress. Every time I wore something like that in the past, it never felt right. This suit is much more me" revealed Viktor.
"I'm glad you were able to fully embrace who you are, and that you were brave enough to tell us. Because it can't have been an easy thing to do"
"It definitely wasn't".

"Well, now that you are my brother and not my sister, I expect you to dance with me tonight, since I don't have a date to this party" informed Lucy.
"I'm still not really a dancer" admitted Viktor awkwardly.
"None of us are. But, we are one family, so no one is going to judge us for our lack of dancing ability. Besides, dancing at a wedding is basically the law, so you have to dance with me, little brother"
"We're the same height"
"True. But I'm older than you, because I spent 3 years in the past, while you only spent a few months there"
"I suppose that's true. Alright, I'll dance with you"
"I knew I'd wear you down".

Lucy kissed Viktor's cheek, before heading back over to the buffet.
She wasn't alone for long though, as Klaus quickly joined her, and she knew why.
She'd watched him head from table to table, trying to convince everyone to get on board with Reginald's plan to try and save the world. But everyone else had turned him down.

"There's my favourite sister" grinned Klaus.
"Hello Klaus" sighed Lucy.
"So, I have a little proposition for you" started Klaus.
"I know what you are going to ask me Klaus, so I'm going to stop you right there. If dad really does have a plan to save the world, then I will help him" replied Lucy.
"Great, I knew I could-"
"Not so fast. I will only help dad, if the rest of our siblings agree to dad's plan as well. I will not move against our family, nor will I do something that Five doesn't agree with. So, it's not me you have to convince, it's them" interupted Lucy.

"So, you will only help stop the end of the world, if everyone else agrees to join in?" Questioned Klaus.
"That is correct. We either do this together, as a family. Or we don't do it at all" answered Lucy.
Klaus sighed, "But the others don't want anything to do with dad, even though he's not the same terrible man we grew up with".
"That's your problem, not mine. If you really want us to side with dad, it's them you have to convince, not me... Now, if you don't mind, I'm going to enjoy this wedding. And I don't want you or dad to ruin this day" informed Lucy, before picking her full plate of food, back up, and heading over to the table Five was sat at.

"Hello big brother" said Lucy, as she plopped herself down in the chair beside Five.
"Hi Lucy. Having a good time?" Asked Five.
"Most definitely. And I can see by the amount of empty glasses on this table, that you're having a good time too" replied Lucy.
"My only plan for tonight is to get completely and utterly drunk"
"Sounds like a good idea to me. And for once, I might actually join you".

Five raised a sceptical eyebrow, "You want to get drunk?".
"Well, the world is ending in like 48hours, so why not? The only people still alive are members of our family, and for some reason Chet the hotel manager, who is currently running around taking photos. So, no one is going to take advantage of me here. And I don't need to worry about ending up like Ella, because the world is about to blow up, with us inside. So, tonight, I am going to let loose, and have some fun with my family, at my brother's wedding" announced Lucy.
Five raised his current glass in the air, "Cheers to that".

"I don't think I'm going to get as drunk as you though, since you had a head start at the bachelor party" said Lucy.
"You were there too. I felt your presence every time you pushed your consciousness down to join us" admitted Five.
"I knew you would sense that I was there. But I couldn't join you properly, for Sloane needed me. She tailored this dress to fit me, because she wanted everything at this wedding to be perfect" replied Lucy.
"Well, she did a good job, because you look incredible. I've never seen you look like this"
"That's not surprising, since as kids, we only ever wore the Umbrella Academy uniform. And as an adult, I tend to choose comfort over fashion, unlike Allison. So, I seldom wear dresses like this. However, like I said earlier, it's the end of the world, so if I'm going to try something new, now is the time to do it".

Suddenly everyone stopped talking and stared in horror at the lift on the far side of the room.
Lucy turned her head to find out why no one was speaking, and she soon discovered why.
Reginald Hargreeves had joined the party, and no one seemed particularly happy about it.
