39. The Final Battle

Five and Lucy's group was the last to return to the lobby, and when they did, they found a new figure standing amongst the others.
"Klaus!" Screamed Lucy, as she ran at her brother and threw herself into his arms.
"It's good to see you too, little sis" smiled Klaus.
"We thought you were dead" informed Five.
"Yeah, I was, but I'm back now. I didn't really want to come back, but Luther made me" revealed Klaus.

"You look like hell" Viktor told Sloane, as they all formed a circle.
"Well you try killing a guardian" replied Five.
"We just did" informed Viktor.
"Well, so did we"
"There was clearly more than one guardian then"
"If you helped kill one, why don't you also look like shit?"
"It's a long story, and we'll explain it all later".

"I still can't believe you're alive" admitted Lucy, as she released Klaus from her grasp.
"Yep, I'm alive and awesome again, despite dad's best efforts to bash my brains in. But listen, we can have a big reunion later, what you need to know, is that dad killed Luther, and locked me out of the tunnel. He was also the one that rang the stupid bell" revealed Klaus.
Everyone then turned to face Reginald, who was standing across the lobby, notebook still in hand, with angry looks on their faces.
"What's your plan now then, old man?" Questioned Five, as they all began advancing on Reginald.
"We don't have time for all this bickering" replied Reginald.

"You killed Luther!" Shouted Sloane.
"I had no choice, you refused to come together as a team" informed Reginald.
"All of your stupid myths and stories were never real. There were no 7 bells or Norsemen. You just lured us here to kill us" snapped Ben.
"That's not true. Somwhere in this hotel, is the key to resetting the universe, we just need to find the sigil" insisted Reginald.
"I don't care about some stupid sigil, none of us do!" Announced Sloane.

"Yeah, and we barely escaped from that stupid guardian with the sickel" informed Diego.
"Ours had an axe" admitted Viktor.
"And ours had a sword" revealed Lucy, as she subconsciously touched her neck, where the guardian had sliced her.
"There's one left" Lila and Diego said in unison.
"We have to go after it" announced Sloane.
"Oh yeah, cos that worked out so well last time" mocked Ben.
"Do you guys have any painkillers you could give me? Or better yet, could you please stop talking. My head is killing me. All this resurrection crap is exhausting and painful" moaned Klaus.

"I'll be right back. I just need to check something" Five whispered to Lucy, before making his way to the floor above.
"O.K" mumbled Lucy, as the rest of her siblings continued to bicker.
With Five upstairs, she kept a close eye on Allison and Reginald, not trusting either of them. Especially since Klaus had confirmed that Reginald had been responsible for killing him and Luther.
"Hey guys!" Shouted Five, from the balcony on the floor above.
Everyone turned their heads to look up at him, but before he could reveal what he had found, the glass ceiling shattered, and the final guardian came falling through.

As he fell, the guardian swung his sickle, which was on a long chain, at Five, slicing off his arm, and causing him to collapse.
"FIVE!" Screamed Lucy.
With no thought for her own personal safety, Lucy pushed her consciousness out, and joined Five in a matter of seconds, before bringing it into the physical world.
"Did you just Blink like me?" Questioned Five, as Lucy began taking off his jacket, and placing it around the remaining part of his arm, to stop the blood loss.
"Don't be silly, my body is still down there. I just pushed my consciousness out towards you" answered Lucy.

"But it's not safe. The guardian is dowe there" reminded Five.
"The others are dealing with it" reassured Lucy, as she removed Five's belt and tied it just above the bleeding part of his upper arm.
"But your body is defenseless down there. And I don't want to lose you, because you are too busy dealing with my injuries" replied Five.
Lucy stood up and peaked over the edge of the railing, to look down at their siblings.
"It's fine. Viktor is protecting my body" informed Lucy, before bending back down to be with Five.
