Eventually all of the siblings and Reginald, gathered in the lobby, to vote on that matter that would decide all of their fates.
They all stood awkwardly in a circle, unsure of how the next few minutes would play out.
Lucy stood at Five's side, ready to move when he did.
Allison was the first to make her decision, "Well, I think you all can guess which way I'll be voting... We've all been through a lot, and we've all lost people. But their deaths have to mean something. Which is why I will be voting to go with dad".

Allison then made her way across the lobby to stand next to Reginald, who looked very pleased with her decision.
Lila then left Diego's side, to go and join Allison, "What she said. Let's go and save the bloody universe!".
"Woo!" Cheered Klaus.
"Alright, well since Lila has chosen to go with dad, I vote that we stay" announced Diego.
"You can't be serious" frowned Lila.
Diego just smiled back at her, and said nothing.
"It's his vote Lila, he can do what he wants with it" sighed Allison.

Allison then turned to face Klaus, "Klaus?".
"I am with father" answered Klaus.
"So am I" added Ben.
"There's a shocker" mumbled Lucy sarcastically.
Reginald was looking very smug that so many people had chosen his side. And Lucy didn't like it.
"That's four against one... Viktor?" Questioned Allison.
"I want to believe that we can fix everything, and restore the world to the way it was before. But I just can't shake the feeling that we don't know what we are getting ourselves into" admitted Viktor.
"No, but we know what we've got if we stay. We have to go into this together. Viktor, we're a family" reminded Allison.

Viktor rolled his eyes, "You can't just keep throwing the word family around like that. It isn't enough... I vote stay".
"Fine... Luther?" Asked Allison.
"Um. Sloane and I talked, and we're out. Look, we want to spend what little time we have left, together. Not fighting men with swords and ringing bells and stuff. So, we vote to stay" revealed Luther.
"We're even then, four in and four out" commented Viktor.

Lucy and Five looked at each other, knowing that it was now all up to them.
The one thing she hadn't wanted to happen, was an even split. As that meant the decision resided souly with her and Five.
"It's up to the twins then" announced Reginald.
"What happens if they both choose opposite sides, and we still end up with an even split?" Questioned Lila.
"They won't. Lucy has made it quite clear that her loyalty is to Five, and not to the rest of us. She will choose whichever side he does" informed Allison coldly.

"There's no need to say it in such a cruel way like that. But yes, I will be voting with my brother. So, the choice is his" announced Lucy.
"Well then, Number Five, what is your decision?" Quizzed Reginald.
"I saw the future, and it told me to sit this one out... I vote stay. It's time we accepted our fate" answered Five.
"There we go then. I will be voting stay as well with Five, which means that the stays outnumber the goes" informed Lucy.
"You're all pathetic" spat Allison, before marching off, leaving the others behind.

"Why can't we go in there with just the four of us?" Ben asked Reginald.
"That would mean certain failure I'm afraid. There must be at least 7" explained Reginald.
He then turned from Ben, to address the others.
"Children, I can't say I'm happy with this. But I see now, that the blame falls on me. I failed you when you were young, and I have failed you now. And in doing so, I have doomed the entire universe... If anyone needs me I'll be in the courtyard, awaiting the end" continued Reginald, before leaving the room.
"Idiots" mumbled Ben, as he followed Reginald out.

"Was that a real apology?" Questioned Viktor.
"The man's never apologised for anything in his entire life" answered Luther.
"I actually feel sorry for him" admitted Diego.
"Don't worry, it'll pass" reassured Five.
"What do we do now?" Asked Sloane.
"We wait for the end... See you around, it's been interesting" sighed Five, before heading off in the direction of the kitchen.

Lucy moved to follow Five, but Viktor stopped her.
"Hey, do you mind if I spend my last few minutes on this earth with you and Five?" He asked awkwardly.
"Of course you can" smiled Lucy.
"Are you sure? You don't want to have a twins only moment?" Questioned Viktor.
"As long as Five is with me when I go, I don't care who else is also by my side. And I'd love to have you with us".

"Thanks. Everyone else seems to have someone to spend their final moments with, and I didn't really want to be the only one dying alone" admitted Viktor.
"No one should have to die alone. You're my brother and I love you, which is why I would be honoured to have you die at my side" replied Lucy, as she threw her arm around Viktor's shoulders.
"God we're a weird family" chuckled Viktor.
"Yep, we certainly are, but I wouldn't have it any other way. Come on, let's go and find that brother of mine, and pick a nice spot to die in".

Viktor and Lucy found Five upstairs, walking down the corridor where the Buffalo suite was, holding a large bowl of cereal in his hands.
"Hey, what you up to?" Asked Lucy.
"Just eating some cereal and retracing my steps" answered Five.
"Why?" Questioned Viktor.
"Because the old man is hiding something" explained Five.
"Yeah, I feel like there's a lot of that going around at the moment" mumbled Viktor.
"How do you mean?" Frowned Five.
"Allison apologised to me".

"And that's suspicious how?" Quizzed Five.
"Last night at the wedding she was ready to go 10 rounds with me, and this morning she's all family, and dad, and love. It just doesn't feel right" revealed Viktor.
"She tried making things up with me too. But I assumed it was just to get me to vote with her and dad" admitted Lucy.
"Something must have happened last night that made her want to apologise to us all, but I don't know what it was" replied Viktor.

Five suddenly gasped, and dropped his bowl of cereal in shock.
"Five, what's wrong?" Asked Lucy.
"It's Allison" mumbled Five.
"What do you mean?" Questioned Viktor.
Lucy's jaw dropped as she realised what Five was getting act.
"Of course it was Allison. We're all idiots. We should have known it was her. It makes sense that dad would align himself with the one person in the group who can take away our free will, and make us do things that we don't want to. Allison is in league with dad, and she's the one you saw talking to him last night!" Exclaimed Lucy.

"Exactly. Allison has made some kind of deal with dad, which I'm sure revolves around her using her powers on us to get us to go through that door in the Buffalo suite. And I think we can all guess what she gets out of the deal" frowned Five.
"She'll get her family back" sighed Lucy.
Before Five could respond, a piercing scream echoed down the corridor, chilling them all to the bone.
Whatever had happened was not good, and they were not looking forward to finding out why someone in the hotel was screaming.
