Chapter 1 - "Just a normal day in the Big Apple"

Charlotte & Loki's POV

"Friday, Tony must have some kind of plan for this situation, right?"

"Yes, Doctor, activating the Liam Neeson protocol." (I hope you get the reference LOL)

"Seriously Tony? FRIDAY, what does that mean?" Charlotte groans.

"I am currently sweeping every wirelessly accessible camera on the planet. Cellphones, laptops. If it's connected to a satellite, it's eyes and ears for me. I have also contacted the Captain and the Widow. They have asked that you meet them at the compound."

"FRIDAY, tell me Tony has some kind of tracker on him?"

"He does, and so do Miss Potts and Miss Starks."

"So why can't you find them?"

"The tracker only works if they remain on earth."

"So, are you telling us they are not on earth?"

"I believe that is why I cannot find them."

"Shit, Charlotte. I need to go to Thor. He might be the only one who knows what happened to the Starks."

"Ok, Sure, I'll get Heimdall to pick up the kids. Once they're safe, Bruce and I will meet you at the compound."

"OK Darling." Loki leans in and gives her a quick kiss.

"Be careful," she says to him

"I always am," he says before he disappears in a green puff of smoke. Charlotte turns to Bruce.

"Um, why don't you find some scrubs to change into while I take care of the twins."

"Yeah, Dr. Sloan, I am really sorry about this. It's all my fault. If I hadn't..."

"Hey Bruce, it's ok. Hela really fucked shit up for us too. We understand. Trust me. I was living in my closet after she killed Loki. Let's just meet up with the team so we can figure this out, OK?"

"Yeah, OK." Bruce gets up from the exam bed and Charlotte hand him a pair of scrubs.

"I'll go get the kids ready." She walks out of the exam room and closes the door behind her. She finds the twins sitting on the couch in her office. Both of them were glued to Lexi's iPad.

"Hey kiddos, what you watching?" She sits down on the couch beside them. Lexi closes the iPad and they both look up at their Mom.

"Mom, what's going on?" Tom asks quietly.

"I... I'm sorry, guys. Seems we have some really bad guy coming to visit us."

"And he hurt Uncle Tony and Uncle Thor?" Lexi asks

"You guys heard all that? What did we tell you about listing in on adult conversations?"

"That it's not nice." Lexi replies quickly.

"So, why did you do it?"

"We... mom, is Morgan ok?" Tom asks and Charlotte can see that he is holding back tears. The twins and Morgan were really close, but Tom and Morgan's relationship was even deeper, maybe even soulmate deep. Loki and Charlotte saw the looks they gave each other even at 4 years old. The way Tom protects Morgan was extremely sweet.

"Oh honey, you know the Avengers would never let anything happen to the Starks. We will find them and bring them home. I promise. But for us to be able to do that, I need you two to be safe. So I'm going to get Uncle Heimdall to come get you." 

"But mom." Both twins whine. 

"No buts. You two are going to visit your grand mother Frigga for a few days while we try to sort this out. So pack up your things."
