Chapter 30: I really have to kill him, don't I?"

Loki and Charlotte's POV

"I think we might have to kill you." She replies sheepishly.

"What?"

"You heard me, but don't worry, I'm a doctor. I should be able to bring you back."

"Should? Charlotte, I don't like this."

"I know. Listen, we need to go back and ask my future self if my crazy idea has any merit. I'm sure she will agree with me."

"And if she does?"

"Then she can ask your mother and the other healers to help."

"Charlotte, I really hate this plan."

Loki and Charlotte wake up in their room in Asgard. Charlotte quickly teleports them to the dining hall, where their friends and family are eating breakfast. Everyone stares in shock when she rushes towards her future self. She stops when the twins see her.

"Mom!" Lexi and Tom shout, and they both rush to hug her.

"Hey Kiddos." She leans down, and the twins wrap their arms around her.

"You're ok?" Lexi asks her Mom

"I will be, but I need your help."

"Mom?" Tom looks at her, confused.

"I need you two to watch over Uncle Thor. Can you do that for me?" Charlotte looks over to Thor, and he seems to get the hint. He nods his head and grabs both kids in his arms.

"Yes, the foals need grooming. Will you help me?"

"Wait, I will take them." Odin speaks up from his chair at the head of the table. "I have a feeling that Thor will be needed here."

"Thank you, Odin," Charlotte replies.

"You guys go with your grandpa, and I promise that once you are done with the foals, your dad and I will be okay." She watches the twins reluctantly take their grandfather's hand and walk out of the dining hall.

"So... You figured it out?" Future Charlotte says:

"I really have to kill him, don't I?" Future Charlotte nods yes to her question.

"What? Kill who? Sister, what's going on?" Thor looks at her, concerned.

"To find my balance, I have to kill Loki. I have to balance him; the magic he accumulated needs to be removed from him."

"No, there has to be a better way!" Thor says angrily at Charlotte.

"She's right, Thor. It's the only way to save both her and Loki. Can't you see that the magic he has now is slowly killing him?" She points to Loki. "Look at his arms. The blackness is almost at his heart."

"And Thor, we are doctors, you know. We should be able to bring him back."

"Should? Little sister, that is now very comforting."

"That's what I said." Loki mumbles.

"You guys doubt us? Really? With all the experience we have here?" She points to Future Charlotte and Frigga.

"If this is the only way..." Thor trails off.

"Yes, it is. Trust me."

"So I guess I'm the only one that will ask this... How will you kill him? And what will happen to all that magic?" TVA Loki asks.

"Well, on earth, we have medicine that can do it. I was thinking we go see Mere and ask her for some."
