Chapter 29: "Charlotte, I really hate this plan."

Loki and Charlotte's POV,

"I love you to infinity." Charlotte says to her husband.

"To infinity, Darling." Loki replies and wraps his arms around her. He looks over to his Variant, who is also hugging future Charlotte. They smile at each other.

"Thank you" TVA Loki says. "All of you, Thank you." He looks around the gathering crowed and everyone smiles back at him.

"Well, this is really nice, but I really want to go see my wife and kid. And no offense, but I really would like to go home." Tony gets up from the rainbow bridge and takes off towards the palace.

"Loki, He's right. I would like to see the kids." Charlotte tries to get up, but her legs give out. Loki quickly picks her up bridal style and turns to his variant.

"Bring her to the healers. We are going to see our children. Thor, I assume you can take of that?" Loki nods towards the two dead bodies lying on the rainbow bridge.

"I'm sure Hela will be happy to see them. Go see your children." Thor replies, and Loki teleports them to the stronghold, where his parents are waiting at the door. Loki gently puts Charlotte down on her feet but makes sure to hold on to her. Frigga gives them a warm smile and wraps an arm around each of them.

"Elskinger" she says when she kisses Loki on the cheek.

"Mother" Loki replies while his mother looks deep into his eyes. She examines him for a second, then turns to do the same to Charlotte.

"We need to get both of you to the healers right away." She says with concern in her eyes.

"Mother?" Loki looks at her confused.

"I want to see the twins." Charlotte barely whispers, and her legs completely give out from underneath her. Her eyes roll back, and her body goes limp. Loki catches her before she hits the ground.

"Loki, healers now!" Frigga yells at him. He quickly picks up Charlotte, and they teleport to the healers room.

"Put her on the table" Frigga orders her son. Once Charlotte is lying down, Frigga activates the Soul Forge.

"Loki, what happened? Her energy levels are drastically low."

"She healed me. She used too much energy." future Charlotte speaks up from the bed behind them.

"Mother, our soul bound, why is it not helping her? She should be able to use my energy to heal herself."

"I'm afraid not Loki. Your bond is very weak. Almost completely gone."

"She needs to find balance." Future Charlotte says, and TVA Loki helps her get up from her bed. She approaches Loki and places a hand on his arm.

"Loki, you need to help her find it. It's the only way for her to save herself."

"How?" He grabs her hands in his. "Please, I can't lose her."

"You must help her find her purpose. Her reason for living. That's what will bring balance to her energy and heal her." Future Charlotte replies. Loki nods and turns to his mother.

"What can I do to help her?"

"We have to stabilize her energy levels first. Then both of you can work on finding her purpose." Frigga replies. Loki nods and watches as his mother and the healers work on Charlotte. He feels helpless and scared, but he knows he has to be strong for her. He takes a deep breath and focuses on his love for her. After a few hours, Charlotte's energy levels stabilize and the healers give her a potion to help her stay asleep. Loki carries her to their room and lays her down on the bed. He sits next to her and takes her hand in his.
