Loki's & Charlotte's POV
"Mere, let me explain." Charlotte put her hand on Meredith's arms and make her turn to look at her.
"I think you better." She mumbles.
"That is me from the future, a very bad future. She saved us. Loki and I. And that is a variant of Loki that worked for some time traveling lizards."
"Bad future and Time traveling lizards. Right." Meredith replies while looking over Charlotte's shoulder at the future version of her best friend.
"Meredith, Mark, it's really good to see you," Future Charlotte says with tears in her eyes. "I've missed you so much." She cautiously approach them.
"Sis? Is that really you?" Mark looks at Future Charlotte just now noticing how old and tired she looks.
"Hey Sweetie. Yeah it's me." She smiles. Mark takes a step towards her and wraps his arms around her. At first she is unsure how to react, but then the familiar warmth of Mark's body makes her feel at home for the first time in decades.
"Oh, Mark." She sighs.
"So I'm really sorry to break up this super tender moment, but we have a Loki to save and we are running out of time." Mobius point to the floating soul forge image of Loki where the black energy is now spreading across the top of his chest.
"Ok Yeah, lest to this," Meredith snaps out of her daze. Mark comes beside her and helps fill out the syringes.
"Are we really doing this?" Thor says.
"We need to, Thor." Charlotte replies and sits on the bed beside Loki. Future Charlotte grabs the Reliquary from the bedside table. She holds it up and starts to mumble to herself.
"Darling?" TVA Loki comes up behind her. "What is it?"
"Nothing, just reading the spell." She points to the weird writing on the vial. She takes a deep breath and looks over at Loki and Charlotte. She dangles the vial from its gold rope and wraps the rope around her hand.
"I'm ready." She says to them.
"So am I." TVA Loki says and places both hands around Future Charlotte's hand. Meredith nods at them and approaches Loki.
"So, Loki, this is a 3-step process. The first shot will be to calm you down." She rolls up his sleeve.
"Ready?" she asks him.
"I am." And she plunges the syringe into his arm. Loki feels the liquid pumping in his veins. He looks up at Charlotte and place a hand on her cheek.
"Have I ever told you how much I love you?"
"To infinity, my love." She replies to him.
"And how much I love that plump ass of yours?" Loki reaches over and pinches her butt. Charlotte giggles when she realizes that the drug has taken effect.
"Ok, so this one is took no time to start working. I guess it's safe to say the other drugs will work as well." Meredith grabs the second syringes and nods at Charlotte.
"Ok Loki, this one is going to put you to sleep."
"Oh, I like sleep...don't i?" The goofy look on his face makes Charlotte giggle even harder.
"God, you're cute."
'Yes, I am a God!" Loki shouts. All the participants in the room start to laugh.
"Yes brother, you are a god," Thor replies and pats his brother on the back. Taking advantage of his distraction, Meredith plunges the second syringe into his arm. Seconds later Loki's eyes start to feel heavy. Before he passes out, he turns to Charlotte and gives her a quick peck on the lips.
